England 3 Spain 0

Great to see a win by the mother country and how it was set up nicely by goals courtesy of Heskey and Barmby.

Maybe those Spaniards should stick to fighting bulls because they obviously can't handle Liverpool's finest.

Good onya Fletch 'the mother country' can always do with a bit of support from the colonies!

LD, practise game or not a win is a win & keeps the feel good factor going'

PS,LD that looks suspiciously like a whinge in your post I think that you've spent too long in the mother country-LOL

Not having a moan mate, just saying what I've always believed, practice is practice. Would've made the same call if the result was reversed. I was freezing cos I got back from Jamaica that day and my heating system bogged itself!

You tell him Dip, it's only ever a practice match or International friendly if we lose, okay London D?

Cheers!

Like I said Fletch, practice is practice. You don't score points for it. I would suggest both Ericson and Senor Espana Coacho would both have tried different players and gameplans/set ups in the match. In the end, they both learn something, and neither side is any closer or farther from WC qualification. It's obviously better to have a win, but it doesn't mean you need prozac to recover from a loss.

The old chestnut about March Champions comes to mind.
