At least he got a week. Now watch Geelong appeal. Toby Greene and Tomohawk should have been sitting out the entire finals.

Can Geelong beat Richmond? I have two friends who support the Cats who think they can.

I dont think they can. And without Hawkins, they def cant.

I think he should have been given 2 weeks to be honest.

He should have been given a year. It was a dog act. FFS, Sidebottom was given 3 weeks (down from 5, IIRC, on an early plea) for a mistimed jump into the centre contest.

The AFL is becoming a joke.

I don't think they even looked at the bump on Yeo that put his lights out in the last quarter. That should have been 6 weeks, as well.

I see that the hit on Yeo was "insufficient force". It makes you vomit.

And HTF was Hawkins' hit deemed "low impact"? The consequence is that Geelong can appeal and he risks no longer sanction. If he plays in the Grand Final, I will not bother watching. It simply should not happen.

Personally I didn't think a lot of force was intended by Hawkins and he was probably left a little surprised it had the result it did.

Still he was lucky in the end that Will Schofield was able to play out the game as ramifications of a players indiscretion are always factored in when it comes to the penalty.

1 week was what I expected given the outcome of his actions and it's just a pity that only Richmond will be blessed on the d**k because of it.

2 weeks or nothing would have been the best result for us.

Hopefully cleared. No enough force for a reportable offence. Hit Scchofield with an open forearm and barely any contact.

Schofield collapsed hoping for a free.

Michael Christian joins BT as persona non grata at Collingwood now. He's an idiot or he simply takes orders from Gil and his cronies.

Quite clearly Christian is a puppet of Gil and his cronies.
By accepting the position he now occupies, Christian was making clear that his trajectory was not with us, but instead was towards the comforts of bureaucratic privilege.

Best result for us would have actually been a fine, since we want Geelong to at least set up obstacles for Bitchmond.

It's been a joke for quite a while. Has more in common with professional wrestling than any real sport.

What we need is for Hawkins to be cleared, Geelong to beat Richmond, Hawkins to kick 7, Hawkins to punch any random Tiger in the face, Hawkins to be suspended for one week, Collingwood to beat GWS, no injuries, Collingwood to beat Geelong by 87 points in the GF.

how about we just win on our own merit?

Toby offered a week to and so he should. Hawkins deserves 2, it was well behind play, and he is a serial sniper, cant believe anyone thinks he should have got off.

im hoping for a good old fashioned biff bash crash smash final friday night, love to see their supporters go head to head on big footy! apart from on field bans, we might all get a seat at the grand final!

That's worked so well for us in the past.

If Geelong are good enough to beat West Coast and then Richmond (with or without Hawkins) then they're certainly more than capable of beating us in any potential rematch in the Grand Final.
