Regular Season Over - but the Pies have made the Finals
With the comps final 2 rounds being cut and the finals series starting this weekend, it means Collingwoods AFLW season is over.
Currently 4th in conference B, only the top three teams qualify.
We finish with the 5th best record in the league and the 3rd best percentage. We finish equal on points with third placed Melbourne.
Our only 2 losses coming against Freo by 3 points and Melbourne by 20. We don't get the chance to play St Kilda or Geelong whilst Melbourne and Carlton both miss a game against league leaders Fremantle.
Winning our final 2 games was a huge possibility and had one of Melbourne or Carlton dropped a game, we would have made it.
A Collingwood/Carlton Qualifying Final would have been nice, but it's likely we would have had to go to WA to face Freo in the Prelim before probably facing North in the GF.
Still, I think they had the team to go close. Oh well.

We are still in it. There are 8 teams (top 4 from each conference) in the AFLW finals.

How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

We lost 2 games by under a goal. One to the favourite to take the flag (Freo, and over in WA too). And one to North in the elimination final. (North were second fave). We also lost to Melb by 20.
TBH, we should have held on against North. But I guess it doesn't matter now anyway.
With three Vic teams and one from WA, I wonder if there was only Vic teams left if they'd finish it off? Possibly playing the PF's on Wednesday and the GF on Sunday.
