Actually I like the teams McRae is choosing to play. He’s showing himself to be far more adventurous than Nathan Buckley in team selection now we’re about a third of the way through the season. Poulter is a good inclusion. MaCrae can’t be far away from selection. Complain as much as you like about WHE, Madgen and Noble. They deserve their spots in the team. Sidebottom is never going to be dropped. Obviously the spine of the team would be better served with Charlie Dean at CHB and Kreuger at CHF. We miss Jamie Elliot and Ginnivan is a big loss. You can only play who you’ve got and McRae is keeping one eye on the Bulldogs game and one eye on the future. That’s why Mason Cox is not getting a game. I’m just enjoying the ride at the moment. It’s exhilarating when it comes off as with the chain of hand passes in the second quarter against Richmond. The reason we lose games is because we can’t sustain the pressure for 120 minutes. All you can do is keep trying, keep playing to win, don’t keep anything off the football field when you leave the ground at the end of the game and respect your teammates and respect the opposition.

Line ball game, very even, both teams hit with long term injuries, us more so. Cant pick a winner, just cross all fingers an toes, might be a draw. Maybe our form has been slightly better than the dishlickers.

Woods by eight points. Hopefully.

It'll be interesting to see with Madge back, how the back line will organize itself. Will Darcy attempt to play an interceptor role or will he guard his opponent more closely than last week?

Absolutely pivotal game for us in the context of our season. Winning this allows us to stay with the pack aiming for a position in the bottom half of the 8 (with the Bulldogs being one of our main contenders for one of those spots, as Richmond last week also were); lose and we'll be stuck playing catch-up.

Compared to the last few weeks, the ruck issues should be insignificant this week. We've lost Grundy, and the Dogs are missing English and Martin.

Genuine 50/50 game. Would be a little more confident if this was at the MCG rather than Marvel.

Not sure it’s that pivotal. I don’t think the aim is to finish 6th,7th,8th. We’re rebuilding & another top10 pick & top 20 is more important for the future.
2018 & 2019 drafts gave us ( I.Q) maybe Ruscoe. So you could argue they were busts. With Pendels, Sidebottom, WHE, Roughead,Howe probably all retiring in the next 1-3 years there will be a lot of spots to fill. And by then Adams will be 31 & nearing hes end.

The Dogs would have more best 22 players missing than us tonight wouldn't they?

Granted they played off for the flag last season and we finished 17th so they're coming from a much higher base but we should be in this game up to our eyeballs if we haven't fallen away completely.

To be honest I think we've let our pressure drop away a little as the year has progressed and we're overdue to correct that and produce something special like that 3rd quarter against Geelong.

Well if that's the case, then it's pivotal we lose.

Pendles out for us and Bont back in for them doesn’t give me a lot of confidence. But your best team is the one you have on the park and here’s an opportunity for our young and mid-level players to show what they’ve got
