Apparently the start of the next season is to be confirmed in the next couple of days.
AFL is sticking with it's thought bubble of an August 2022 start (someone has an idea and lets run with it
).

It will interesting to see the plan - if there is one - for 18 teams, 9 round comp and no feeder competitions operating from which to draw up players in the event of LTI or illness.
