Dees will be seething.....

1. Embarrassed by Freo
2. Seeking redemption for the QF loss

If we're not switched on, the game could well and truely be over by 1/4 time.

Deeees Toffs flogged by 92 points, against a side we got draw with, despite our massive injury list. Dees near a full side. On that basis, we are in with a big chance, to send the Toffs up to the snowfields. Granted , they will hit back, but jeezus, 92 points, knocks the shite out of a teams confidence.

Don't worry. We'll be switched on and have the game won before 1/4 time. 8)

The players need to remember Steven May saying how they should have 'smoked' us last year.
With all our injuries, it will be tough, but I expect us to be up for this one.

Think it will be a close one. I expect Melbourne to fight back after a dismal performance today.

The 10 day break will be a blessing for the players. Three main training sessions will help them all gel that little bit better come game day.
As of now, it appears both Hoskin - Elliot and McInnes are likely, while Mitchell remains an outside chance. On VFL form, Krueger may also get his first opportunity for the season this week. Also no fresh injuries have been detailed, so the team we put out this week will be stronger than the one against the Dogs.
There are a number of key Demons who have been off the boil for a while now, so Im anticipating this one is going to be a lot closer than the “ half empty’s “ might think.

^ Yes, I agree. You'd think Melbourne might finish up within about 6 goals or so of Collingwood. In their last 10 games against us at the MCG, going back to 2017, they've beaten us once, by 4 points. They're probably not quite that hopeless - but, as long as they have Gawn in the ruck (and not Grundy - who was in the ruck when they managed to beat us), we will always be a big chance against them.

I was initially pessimistic about our chances, but after Freo gave it to the Dees without any lube, I reckon we'll give them a good rogering as well.

We'll be back on the MCG and hopefully with 2 or 3 of our troops returning and battle ready.

Surely, 'Freddy' Krueger must come in, as he should have last week imo. If nothing else, he provides a physical presence and can pinch hit in the ruck if needed.

Ins: Krueger, McInnes, WHE, Mitchell

Outs: Bytel, Johnson, Parker, Macrae

If these are all available and do come in that would be a significantly stronger team than we've had for a couple of weeks. Make no mistake, we will be super-charged for this one, knowing that our top 4 chances could very well hinge on us winning it.

Unfortunately I don't think that dreamons will play that badly twice in a row but it does give me some more confidence that we drew with freo in Perth while Dreamons got flogged by them by almost 100pts at a neutral ground in the red centre.
If only Checkers hadn't re done his hammy I'd think we might have sneaked in against bullflogs (probably not as scumpires would have just given them more frees directly in front of goal though) and I'd be even more reassured heading into KB.
We need to be wary of this happened again with Elliott and Mitchell and should only play them if they are 100%.
We need to make sure that when we have our periods of ascendency that we convert our chances as too many behinds cost us big time in the last two matches with so many injuries and makeshift forward line.
Hoping for much better games from Noble and Sidey
