Post subject: TALENTED TARRANT THE GREATEST EVER MARKReply with quote

In my opinon Chris Tarrant has now taken the greatest ever mark in footy history. "The Mark" was the greatest and best mark That I have ever seen. I was sitting on the top deck of the great southern and I could not belive what I witnessed.
Now Tarrant mark has now gone into footy folk law and footy history. "The Mark" makes jezzas mark in the 1970 grand final look nothing but a hop over jerker jenkins shoulder. Now Tarrant can now claim to have ever taken the greatest mark.
I will never forget it and how luck to have witnessed "the mark"
Tarrant soared and now soars into the footy history books.

A big statement here.

have a look thru the history books...Coleman, Bob Pratt, Ron Todd, Dick Lee and others all have photos of some pretty big grabs, not that I'm suggesting Tarrants' grab wasn't up there with the best.

And I remember my brother took a pretty good one in the under 12's one day, dad might even still have that moment immortalised on a 35mm slide!

It was a very good mark but I don't know if it's the greatest mark ever. I still like Sean Smiths effort against Brisbane as the best one ever.I do think it is the best Collingwood mark. Peter Moore's effort over Fitzpatrick was a ripper but I think Taz beats him. It was a high bomb that was dropping short of him yet he jumped on the pack and reached over them to get it.

Tazza's mark was the mark of the year for sure unless he beats it himself in the rest of the season. He is a legend and this will be down as one of the greatest marks in AFL history for a long time!!

Nice discussion about the best ever mark, and Tarrants was a gem.
I'll send shivers of anticipation up your spine now by saying this;
Chris is 20 years old. How many more of these fantastic arial gymnastics are we going to see?
I think he can top Mondays effort and I cannot wait to see the next one!
