The team this week is secret. We are not going to tell you who is in it 'till it has already happened.

No surprises. No new drills. Trust me. The adults are back in charge.

No player will be dropped. There will be no loss of dim sims. There will be free beer for everyone. Except low-life pensioner scumbags, of course. And boat people. No-one will have to play until they are 70. There will be lots of great new players added, and no-one has any entitlement to a spot. We will be shrinking the team down and cutting out waste. As coach, you might not respect me but I hope that you will like me. Or possibly fear me, I get them mixed up. I give you my cast-iron blood promise that no-one will be dropped and a full team will take the field. Welcome to the age of befuddlement!

That sounds alarmingly similar to Tony Abbot talk before Hockey brought down his budget and screwed us all!

Are you picking a team of heavy lifters?

Tannin, couldn't you have done this joke the other way around? Like, promised you wouldn't pick a team and then pick it?

I want to play goddammit. I want to play!

You'll need to have your $7 for the club doctor to do your pre game physical and your thesis typed on why no Australian child is living in poverty Razz

That could be a side exam with a mystery tag in the last word. Push the button, watch the wheels spin. Options to come up include carbon tax, GST, New tax, night grand final etc etc. Razz

Saying one thing and doing another...

Hurt the poor and help the rich...

Crying crisis and laughing at the opportunity...

Destroy public assets to build private capital...

Going forward with medieval knighthoods...

mmm could be a chance to make this topsy turvy team of the new age of yesteryear!

The only certain starter is the Team Chaplin.

(It only cost him a case of Grange, a box of Cubans and 20,000 litres of diesel).

^ No cigars for you. You are in the team. No excuses, we keep our promises. Well, the overriding core promises. At least some of them. Eventually.
