In Adelaide a man got a suspended sentence and a $100 fine for shooting a delivery driver in the head.

Paul Nemer was originally charged with attempted murder, and plea barginned his was down to endangering life.....and received less than a speeding ticket fine.

I think this is appalling.

The department of public prosecutions has just anounced that they will be appealling the suspended sentence handed down to Paul Nemer.

Commonsense at last.

No news links up yet, but will keep everyone informed.

Correction, it was the solicitor General who ordered the appeal. The DPP who made the original deal of a $100 fine, is very annoyed.

As for the DPP......they had a today tonight story on him a few months ago....he goes to the TAB 10 times a day while he is supposed to be working.....real efficent guy.

wow it only costs $100 to shoot someone? I am surprised the murder rate isn't high in Australia if that's all they are going to hand out to a guy that shoots someone.

So all it would have cost me to win the grandfinal would have been 100 bucks to shoot Akkers outside the ground when they were getting off the bus?

This is one screwed up situation...What if he had of died? THis is a fricking joke!
