In MMs last 2 years at wet toast they fell away in the latter part of the season as well.
Is it that they work too hard?Cant be that as all other clubs work just as hard.
Is it because of his aversion to using the bench like some other coaches.ie rotating in the midfield.?maybe.
MM has the philosophy that if there is no match up for a player he gets benched and quite often stays there leaving 20 blokes to battle 22.
After 16 rounds of that some may be getting a bit weary and need a freshen up.Thats whats called rotating the list and MM doesnt do much of that either.
He obviously has a few favorites and a few he doesnt like and this is one of the reasons that when we had the 8 in our sights its now a distant hope.
The lack of a ruckman should have made it even more crucial to rotate the side thru a game off the bench and I think that is why some of the boys have gone off the boil.
Its not that they get unfit, its mental pressure that builds up that is the killer.
What do others think of MMs statement that some may be getting tired with 6 weeks to go before they should be really ready.

Yeah, they've used the bench the least in the league which seems a bit strange considering the players fatigue.
