I'll say this about Yiannopoulos – he's a pompous pain in the arse and holds some genuinely despicable views, but, unlike Panahi (whose interview I was just reading in the other thread), he is a deep thinker and at least interesting to listen to. Shame he's being interviewed here by Bolt, who has the charisma of a wet sock. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Er, was that conservative views, or inciting his followers to 'go after' someone? I kind of got the impression it was the latter. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

I prefer Nesquik, thanks.
Seriously, either Milo has earned his ban (no surprises if so) or Twitter have decided to embrace their identity as a lefty love-in forum. And you know what? As much as it might rankle, that's their prerogative as a private company, and I would have thought a right-libertarian like Milo would be on board with that. We sometimes forget that these corporate organisations aren't here to serve the public interest; they're here to be whatever they want to be, just like Nick's (is our banning of opposition supporters an encroachment on free speech?).
Frankly, my life and ability to express myself are in no way diminished by not using Twitter, and I expect Milo will survive too. Next controversy, please! _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Milo mentioned this in an interview the day after his ban on Twitter and acknowledged that they could do as they please as a private company. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

That's right they can, and everyone else can complain or boycott as they see fit, free from government intervention. Isn't the free market wonderful.
