Is this going to be one of the seasons we don't turn up in the second half?

The side has some talent but a lot who are ordinary.
Certainly outcoached on many levels.
Including the amazing midget forward line and a strategy of bombing it long.
Wonderful seeing that.
Not once in 6 years has Bux with this team ever got forward momentum.
Not once. |
And today when our season was pretty much on the line we were nowhere near it, and so after two mini rebuilds without bottoming out we're miles off the pace. Bucks is a genius _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

Boak, Gray (& Gray), Wines, Wingard, Impey and Pittard.
And now Pepper-Pig.
Reality check: we simply don't have the players on our list to match up with these blokes. They are physically too strong, and tactically too smart with their front and square positioning. And much, much more disciplined at running both ways.
I expect them to play off against GWS in the grand final.
This game was over at quarter time, and we all knew it.
We are still a bunch of hesitant, indecisive ball slaughterers.
The coaching was marginally better today, than the 2016 flogging. Just.
The clearance and contest possession figures were almost identical between both teams today, yet we had 70+ more possessions.
Probably accumulated going backwards, because we had no leading forwards to kick to? Did anybody see Port attempting this same bullshit?
Geezuz, Swan would have been handy today. Thanks injury gods.
And Troy Pannell? Go curl up in a hole and die you pathetic cheating flog. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

14 disposals @ 92.9% DE. Only Adams (93.1%) bettered that. _________________ Donny.

It was sad to see Butcher Adams deciding to kick small sideway kicks because he just knew that if he slaughtered the ball by kicking longer than 20m once more he would get a medal from the butchers association.
And if anyone tells me we won by trading him for Shaw I will personally reach thru the computer secreen to throttle you! _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

We're mixing it up a bit. Rather than not turning up in the second half of the season, we've decided not to turn up in the second half of half our games. |

That -6.9% must have been his pox grubber in the first quarter across half back that got them rolling on the scoreboard.
Love to see Langdon's. Must look like Mitch Marsh's batting average... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever

Again, I just got to say;
The top 6 possession winners were all Collingwood players. Only 2 Port players feature in the top 10.
Will be interesting to see the Brownlow votes when they come out. Gray with 3 (5 goals), but the 2 and 1?
Anyway, we lost the game by one Robbie Gray. (He scored 31 points, which was the final margin). _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned!

They're 8-5. We're 5-8. Game result summed it up. We are a poor team. We lack the ability to do things in a coordinated approach. Less organised. Not slick. Make dumb decisions. Lack class players. Averagely coached.
We can't have players like Elliott and Wells out of the side and expect to have a chance against good sides. Had a feeling we'd get done comfortably.
I'd hoped we'd turned a corner over the last 5 weeks. But Nothing has really changed in 4 years.
If we keep doing the same thing, we can't expect a different result. |

F**k me, Langdon... WTF is he playing for? Insipid today. Crocker, no. Phillips, no. Brown, not yet. Aish, no. Too many passengers.
Probably the worst 30+ disposal game from Treloar, Sidey & Adams. Pendles was ok, nothing flash.
Wake up call. When we deviate from game plans, we are no good. You could tell from 5 minutes in that Port would win this.
I don't know what the answer is, but it won't be a quick fix. I fear that we are 3-4 years off being any hope. _________________ Ohhhh the premierships a cakewalk for the good old COLLINGWOOD |

It's full tank mode now. We need to get as high a draft pick as possible. We need Reid from Sydney. We need SMART, front & centre players. _________________ Est. 2002 |
