Perspective, one of the worst teams in the AFL with its captain and best recruit out early in the game. Will have to play a lot better next week to even be competitive against west coast. |

Played like a team that's in the bottom 4. At least we didn't lose. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

A wins a win. They beat us with no bench. Memo to Scott Burns. We get burnt by Gazza every time. Still I suppose Levi was out. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

I had no emotional investment in that game. 5 mins to go and I was only half watching it. I'm glad we won to save ourselves the embarrassment of losing to a 💩 side with only 20 fit players for over half of the game. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Gee. We are a frustrating to watch.
We are particularly a poor wet weather team. Over use the ball.
It was more of the same really. It was just that the sun's are worse.
We have played one debutant for the season. I heard today Geelong have played 8.
FFS play some kids.
Through the week I want Bux to remain coach. Then watch us play and go yuk and want him out. |

Happy with a win
Most dangerous forward line for the year and we kick over 100 points.
Pendlebury must be injured. So quiet at present. Treloar clearly a groin injury. hesitant to kick.
Thought Witts outpointed Grundy today.
Could really do with a Jake Lever type down back to allow Reid to play forward as a secondary marking target.
Well done Steele and Adams. Lead from the front. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Here is my take on this game - we won. We could have lost but clearly the players and coaching staff (etc) determined that they would try to win the game the same as they have forever and a day. No one goes out lose (BTW this puts any crap talk of tanking to bed - lets stop seeing posts about it FFS).
Watching this team play, at times, is frustrating - and without any bias to or against Bucks - most of the frustration is generated from skill error or poor decision making. Some may say this is a coaches issue to fix - it is hard to fix when a player does not display this each and every time. The team can only work on gaining consistency which I see via attending the team training sessions, does occur. What causes a player to make those skill errors or poor decisions during a game is way too hard to determine - I guess it is just a trait of being human. Would a new coach make a difference - who knows. Look at some of the other teams that are up and down this year - same issues usually. The key is to work as much of the inconsistency out of each players game that there is more positives than negatives per game. Experience will help. _________________ Toby for President |

Geez some poor comments in this thread.
We won the game FFS. That's what the team is supposed to do.
Scrappy, yes, but away from home after several losses in a row. A win is a win.

Struggled against a crap team that was down to 2 on the bench.
Blowing our top draft pick for 2017-18.
Somehow scored 100+.
I like to win, but this doesn't change anything. We're ordinary. |
Well that might be our last hoorah for 2017.
Totally painful to watch truth be told; but I did appreciate the effort, for all its flaws. So yes, a bottom four position appears the likely scenario given our fixture, which should shroud any tanking efforts nicely.
Just don't want to see any blowouts on the scoreboard.
I'm not sure why it takes so long for the penny to drop with wet weather football for this team. Stop the finessing, which we are shithouse at anyway, and just kick the f#cker forward off the ground when necessary.
Not rocket science people...
And how Blair got a game ahead of Wills, who is a tackling wrecking ball, has got me both stunned and dumbfounded.
Would have been an ideal game for him to return to the 22.
Tick, and move on. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

The thing is that we play yuk footy. We aren't going anywhere unless we start playing solid footy. Then get that up to good footy standard.
Otherwise we will stay where we are. Which is loser town in the bottom 6. |
