Ok. Comedy about domestic violence.

I reckon he did this well, I'd be interested in other opinions but only if you watch the whole thing. if you take offence early and pull out, don't bother. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yeah, that’s very brave and intelligent comedy, which is sadly rare. He rightly says that you should not hit a woman, but also goes on to make the deeper point that even bad acts are not morally equal. There is no meaning without context. This kind of complicated truth in comedy is more or less banned, today, and it’s why so much of it is so dull. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

It was good. I was struck (no pun intended) by the story about how he gave her the silent treatment (favourite female tactic) by wearing his headphones. She slapped them off his head 3 times and when he finally came up yelling, she said they'd talk when he calmed down.
context.
Also liked how he acknowledged that there are blokes who just go bang because that's how they roll but all blokes shouldn't be tarred with the same brush. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Yep, crass vituperative public generalizations about men are completely ok, but anything critical of women (or even critical of the idea that women are not a collective entity) is trounced. Once we gave up religion as a society, we becacome insufferably pious and simplistic. I once thought it’d go completely the other way. That’s not to promote god-bothering, just a comment on human nature. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Hubby has been carrying on like a 2bob watch for 2 days about his funeral shirt. I said this is it, no it’s not it’s too big, so go buy a new one. But it’s fine. 1.5 hours to go he’s still carrying on, so off he goes to buy a new one, you want me to come, ‘I can buy a bloody shirt on my own’.
He comes back and hands it to me to iron. The exact same shirt. In the exact same size.
Was a really good turn out, pictures 2 morotcycle clubs parking their bikes in rows either side of the driveway, and Peters 5 vintage Toyota race cars (I thought my hubby was bad!) lined up behind them. What could have been a super sad day, was a really nice celebration of his life. Cheers Pete xxx. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I love that in so many ways.
same shirt, same size, but this one fits better.
hands it to you to iron and you iron it? 2 minutes in the clothes dryer does the trick. I haven't used the iron in years. I do my own washing and had to ban mum from ironing and folding stuff if she beats me to the clothesline _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

First time I’ve picked up the iron this year! I use the dryer to decrease usually, but one of the kids dresses had to be ironed, so I did the shirts and pants too! I use to iron about once a week, thank god for textiles that don’t crease much! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Had one shirt ironed in 4 years and I didn;t do it and that was for ANZAC day in Thailand for the 100th aaniversary of Gallipolli. Here you send your stuff to the cleaners and it comes back ironed and sometimes even repaired. Tears, buttons replaced etc, and cheap. But we just dry everything on hangers and in this climate and undercover it is very quick. We have an iron but I have never used it. Don't know where it is. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |
