Post subject: Is Grundy our best player? | |
|
After watching Grundy Dominate vs GWS and with Pendles starting to Slow Down and Steele is a very Reliable Player but does not Dominate Games.
So is there something to say about that Question? _________________ I am Da Man |

Tore Lobb a new one and hit the scoreboard. Definitely a key for us. McEvoy beat him in round one and he’s doing a demolition job on Geelong right now so no disgrace in that. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

I think big Reason that Grundy could not ruck as much as he did this week against McEvoy as had to Share Ruck time with Cox.
That why I think we can't play both Grundy and Cox at the Same Time in Same Team _________________ I am Da Man |

I think Cox is actually a better ruckman than forward and Grundy kicking two Saturday tells me we should persist with having both in the same team. With Darcy out I think we have no choice. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Grundy took both GWS ruckmen to the cleaners. Wonderful player who may have been stirred up because of the Broomhead injury. Cox is more than handy as well. We are so well placed in the ruck. I just wish we had a decent forward or two. |

Good player. Will be a great player when he starts to take strong contested marks regularly. As will Cox, who might yet surprise on a dry day. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Yep, probably our most important too. Imagine if he went down and we had Mason Cox first stringing for the year....
Ultra consistent performer now and he is started to get rid of the silly frees he used to always give away (loved an overly aggressive high tackle 3 or 4 times a game). _________________ Brown re his GF omission:

He's a ripper, Dave. He's certainly in our top five most important players for sure.

you might see how he got his goals? they were not the plays of a forward. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

He always dominates GWS.
Gave Mummy a few baths.
Prob a big reason why they can rarely beat us easily. _________________ Est. 2002 |

That’s cos he wasn’t playing forward. His kicking is good and we all know what it’s like having a guy who can mark but is an unreliable kick, having tore out our collective hair with Trav for so long. Brodie can take a pack
Mark and can kick so going forward is viable for him. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

It's an interesting question, I don't think he's the best FOOTBALLER at the club (that's probably Sidey IMO), but I think it'd be fair to say he's our most important and as a result, best player. |

I also don't get that. They play Cox Forward but they put Grundy on the Bench instead of Forward. I reckon Grundy be good up Forward given Time There _________________ I am Da Man |
