Hubby bought himself another sprint car shell. Took advantage, ordered a new camera! Upgrading to a 7D Mark 2, which will still fit all my lenses. I realised just how many pics I’ve been taking, and had a sudden terror of my entry grade DSLR dying in the middle of Yellowstone National Park! I’ll probably take both! The difference is aside from better build in every department is 65 auto focus points instead of 9, and on burst mode, 10 frames a second, mine does 5! It’s also weather proof. Got a great deal, the mark 3 is coming out so the 2 is on clearance if you know where to look, ie online!
Cmon guys, where are all your happy posts, someone must be happy! Footy is back next week. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

It’s Friday and I don’t work Fridays
Do some housework, banking and grab a coffee at my local coffee shop.
Then lunch with Canteen Alumni from the local primary school. When the canteen manager retired a couple of years ago, a few of us who had been volunteering for many years (I did 9 years helping out) decided to catch up every month or 2 for lunch. Original idea was to lunch at all the restaurants/cafes in Koornang Road, which we have managed to do (even with some having changed since we started). _________________ If you are foolish enough to be contented, don't show it, but just grumble with the rest. - Jerome K Jerome |

^ I love the first one, the face of the white-tail spider ! Something about the pleading eyes ... he seems to be saying “ What happened ? I didn’t always look like this ! I’m really a public servant in the Department of Sport and Leisure. Just kiss me to turn me back again”.... _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

Ha, cute! It was really fascinating actually! Hubby brought me home a red back a few days later, they really are quite beautiful. Well right up until junior said “imagine if her belly is full of babies and they all come out!” Did you know red backs have a red star on their bellies too? Almost a perfectly shaped star! It’s incredible. _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Got into the shed this morning. Since I pulled mums lounge suite out to put in the back room and put my old one out there, it was a mess. Pulled everything out and re-stacked and sorted stuff so I have more space in the now. Can actually get to the exercise equipment (bugger - no more excuses).
Then put some laserlite over the gable on the "carport". It has a gabled roof, but there was no cross piece running between the upright posts. I wanted a cross piece so I could enclose the angled bit and hang some bistro blinds. (picture an upside down V is what I started with, I wanted to turn it into an A, enclose the little triangle and hang blinds from the cross bar.
So before Easter I built the frame for the cross piece out of left over channel steel and some 50x50 aluminium posts and got bit over half the laser lite up today. Finish that tomorrow then go buy some bistro blinds to keep the rain out. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
