A month ago he might have considered a $500,000 pa contract. If I was his manager, I'd be asking for closer to $800,000 now. |
For sure, yeah, but it's a long way to the end of the season. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's had two absolutely exceptional performances since he's come back. What if that's it??? If I was in charge of whoever is in charge of these things at the club, I'd be saying "Jordie, you're going great. Well done young man. Keep it going. Show us some more of the same and we'll certainly listen to what you want".
But there's nothing to say he won't go off the boil or go out and get into trouble again. I can see he has exceptional talent and ability. I just want to know that it's likely to be there for the long haul, along with a strong commitment to the club, ie for him to really mean that "I won't let you down" that he said to Bucks upon selection in the draft. |

Just give it all a little more time RudeBoy. Yes, it does look like he's finally coming of age as a footballer, and a very good one at that, but it could also be all about the fact that he's playing for his financial future. (Not saying that I blame him for that). It's a tough one I know to gauge what he'll bring over the long term, but at this point in time, I still have niggling doubts about his ultimate value to us. Other players have also had some big goal hauls this season - Stephenson, Josh Thomas. He's not the only one. Some perspective before we all get carried away and say "Sign Jordie now!"?? |

I was guilty of that too Damien, but I happened upon some fiery speech from an American preacher and couldn't help but smile at some of the expressions of the guests! The choir did a great rendition of "Stand By Me" though. I think that was three-quarter time! |
How long did that dude go on!! I think the Queen was not amused. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Well, like you, I'm also hoping that will be the ultimate outcome. Just seems like we have different opinions on how/when it's going to happen. |

I didn't catch that. I'll look forward to seeing her response when I fast forward through the replay! Should be hilarious. |

Damo, much conjecture as to which of the two painful broadcasts you were referring to!
I can only comment on the AFL game [or Shitfest '18, I've named it].
For the easily pleased, yes indulge yourself in the victory, and soak up the win; no qualms from me.
For the rest of us, it was a 2 hour colonoscopy, minus the lubricant.
If we are talking about effort, yes it was sufficient to get the 4 points.
If we are talking about disposal standard, it was without a doubt, our most inept showing since round one against Whorethorn. Losing Fasolo didn't help rotations, but the rust was evident, and his influence very minimal.
The missed targets by hand and foot, and kicks to nowhere by experienced players were literally horrifying.
I'm sick to death of watching every centre bounce and players making out like they are trying to move a fvcking brick, fumble it, while the opposition take possession, break a weak tackle effort, and advance inside F50.
Don't get me started on the going backwards shit too; I'd had an absolute gutful of that in 2017. You just know it is inevitable that one of our many talented ball slaughtering fvck-up merchants will after a minute or so, turn the pill over to the opposition, for a cheap out the back goal.
I'd suggest a couple of senior players are going to find themselves quite unexpectedly dew-kicking in the VFL next week, and if that is the case, I have precious little sympathy for them.
And if Blair gets selected in their place, well, I couldn't care less.
Be grateful Melbourne didn't fight to retain Howe and Dunn, as we'd be totally up shit creek on a weekly basis without them down there.
JDG was the only real difference between the two teams tonight; and that is just unacceptable.
So, Footscray next week, again at this utter abortion of a cow paddock.
Ignore their scoreboard against the crows; they'll pass that haflway through the first quarter next week while our mids stand around like Brown's cows.
Bevo's coaching record against Buckley is evident, so nobody be disappointed if we serve up the same tripe as tonight, and get run all over. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

4 points banked that's the main thing but gee we made a ordinary side look good at times
We have too many passengers at the moment
Cox isn't having any significant impact up forward or in the ruck but were short on talls with Moore and Reid injured so he's lucky
Murray looks tired his man got out the back a fair bit today
Adams either isn't fit or hopelessly out of form
Thomas had little impact
Sidey whilst he had plenty of it had a dirty night effeciency wise
But we did have a few positives
Scharenberg saved at least 6 goals and is really showing why he was a pick 6
Pendles was back near his best
Wells was silky
JDG is just getting better each week.
Stephenson becoming a vital cog in what we do
Grundy is just a beast
We need to be way better if we want to compete for a finals spot
Faz just can't take a trick poor bugger hope it isn't to bad of a injury
P4S said in the VFL commentary today Seir was outstanding again might be cherry ripe for a debut (thanks for the reports live today mate)
Bulldogs next week we need to stop there run and shut down Bont and we should get the 4 points |
