In all honesty, none of the other teams frighten me at all.
I guess, because it's at the MCG, the Tigers would likely be our hardest opponents.
If we play at our best we are the best team in the comp. We will win the flag this year! Go Pies! |

Oops sorry RudeBoy fergot the Tiggers
No none frighten me —just wary of the finals experience some sides have
I reckon we will give it a good crack and on some footy site they were evaluating sides in current eight and we rated a 15 win 7 loss finish _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

If we’ve made it the GF I don’t care who the opponent is, id just be stoked we have made a GF considering the last few years we have had.
I still believe we have much more improvement in the side that we won’t see our true potential for another 1-2 years, so if we make the GF this year it will be purely based of momentum, limited injuries and confidence through winning.
I also believe that the confidence of winning will carry us over the line with some games but the consistent brand of footy we are wanting to play week in week out is still a little while away hence the 1-2yr assessment.
We need a Key defensive back-man which I’m hoping Moore can fill that role if not, we need to draft one. _________________ Collingwood forever, forever Collingwood |

It’s the same old story, you have to respect them all and fear none.
As B B W said above, if you’re winning ( finals ) you will be feeling pretty good about yourself anyway.
The only thing I will say, is that for the first time in a few years, I’m no longer overly concerned about the Hawks.
The more I look at our season, the more I’m convinced we just “ didn’t come to play “ against them in the season opener. It was the least intensity we had shown all year and they made us pay.
I reckon we finally have to many match winners and scoring options for them to keep quiet.
Bring em on, there’s a new kid in town. |

While we have some personnel weaknesses, our system of play has so far glossed over these, much as the Tigers and Dogs did in the past 2 seasons.
I want us to just go out there with no fear and no ceiling on what we can achieve and do the best we can with whatever 22 plays on a given week.
Moore, Ellot and Varcoe will come in when fit, as will Reid. Mihocek is capable of filling a need up forward and could do the same down back if required, McClarty is improving, both his output and versatility, we have mids in the VFL ready and able to step up if required, so we'rein a good place assuming the players come back from the bye focused.
Come finals, there's no team that stands out that I don't want to play, I think our current style and personnel matches up well enough against all of them. I'd really like to avoid playing the Wiggles in Perth if we can, but even that is winnable. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I believe without doubt on our day using our current style / system / or what
lah de dah name you like to call we are capable of beating any one
We have a very small amount in the 22 that put Dees to the sword that could make way for a Moore or an Elliott—yes Varcoe and Reid too
Those four are what I call the icing on the cake if required _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

^^^ For sure, he is a meat head and he knows it!!
My top five would be
Geelong bc I just hate them
Brisbane for their arrogance back in the early 2000s
Hawthorn bc we owe them
Swans bc they are the AFLs pet
and Carlton for all times sake.
Richmond for 1980 grand final and bc they are getting too much for me to handle now. _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

Richmond or Geelong.
Richmond with their mcg record, and Geelong because our structure breaks down against them because they keep at least 1/2 defenders in the 50 |

The Cats do like to keep the extras back DEEPER than most others but it also means they are “ forced “ to move the ball more slowly coming out of the back half. I still think good sides can exploit that game style on the wider MCG wings.
I’m a big believer in learning more from a loss than a win.
If we come up against them again, I would hope we have learnt from the loss and we would be much better prepared next time around. The beat us on the back of pressing up to the ball carrier and us not lowering our eyes going inside 50.
Personally, I reckon it wouldn’t take much to reverse the outcome next time we play them ( providing we kick well on goal cause they don’t give you many looks ) |
