The game has become a scrap, which suits us just fine as we hold an 18-point lead. We've entered time-on in the last quarter #vflmagpies _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Aish gets a goal to kill this off. It's a four-goal lead with 25 minutes played in the last #vflmagpies _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Quote: | A third-quarter blitz from Collingwood proved to be the difference as it claimed a victory at Windy Hill on Saturday.
The Magpies piled on five goals to one in a 12-minute period at the end of the third term to open up what proved to be a match-winning lead.
Josh Smith carried on his good form from his last game against Werribee to be influential in the decisive period. The returning Jamie Elliott and Alex Fasolo were also among the goals as the Pies wrestled control of the game.
James Aishand Jarryd Blair also made successful returns from injury as the Pies emerged from the match unscathed.
The win sees Collingwood leapfrog Essendon and return to the top-four of the VFL ladder, with Williamstown still to play later in the afternoon.

Quote: | Its said good things come in threes, but good things were coming in fours for Collingwood at Windy Hill on Saturday afternoon.
The Magpies are just percentage points outside of fourth spot on the VFL ladder after their four-goal win against Essendon, winning 14.14 (9 to 11.6 (72).
The result was made brightened further by the successful returns of quartet James Aish, Jarryd Blair, Jamie Elliott and Alex Fasolo from injury. All four played full games and emerged unscathed.
The only blemish on their records was to Elliott, who was reported in the fourth quarter when attempting a smother on an opponents kick.
Pies coach Jared Rivers said that he was impressed with the influence the returning players had on the match.
I thought all of them, especially in the second half, showed some real impact on the game, Rivers told Collingwood Media post-game.
Their touch was quite good after not having a lot of footy under them.
Well see how they pull up during the week, I think they pulled up pretty well from all that Ive seen and heard, thats a really good sign.
The battle was won in third term for Collingwood. The Magpies trailed narrowly after a tight first half, before blowing the game open with five goals in 12 minutes to close out the quarter.
Rivers pinpointed improved ball use and player movement in the forward half as the catalyst for his sides improved showing.
I think our ability to move the ball and be more selfless forward of the ball made it easier for our forwards and allowed those marks, he said.
At half-time, we only had four marks inside-50, in the second half we got 12.
That was a real improvement for us.
The Pies had plenty of star power in the forward half of the team, but Rivers said the strength of the Collingwood defence was the decisive factor in the victory. It was two rookie-listed players, in Jack Madgen and Adam Oxley, who were singled out for praise by the coach.
Our defenders all day were sensational, Rivers said.
Ox was really good down back.
Madge had James Stewart for most of the day and for a guy who is developing his game and craft, he was outstanding.
Collingwood will look to continue its momentum against North Melbourne next week. The match will be played on Sunday, from 1pm at Avalon Airport Oval.

Jamie Elliott was reported for striking in todays VFL clash. Kobe Mutch came off in the last quarter with a cut on his face following the incident. Not sure there was enough in it to warrant time on the sideline. #PJVFL _________________ All We Can Be |
