Lehmann gone !! Out for 45 to Inness.

That was a top effort from Inness. He tied him down with dot after dot and then got his reward.
-------------------------------------

Welcome back, Matthew Inness. He just dismissed the last danger man, Davison, for 13. He has 3/21 from 11 overs and all 3 were vital wickets.

He's going to be cherry ripe for the final. Very Happy

The Bushrangers attack now looks settled, barring injury, with Inness, Wise and Lewis with the new ball and White, McDonald, Moss and Hussey to follow. pretty versatile.
---------------------------------------

Cleary belted White for 2 fours and then promptly lost his wicket. Inness then ended the Redbacks' pain with his 4th. wicket. In the end, a comprehensive victory.

The Bushies crashed through with 8/67, this morning. Hookesy will be smiling. Very Happy

GAME OVER!!!!

Victoria 343 & 272
South Australia 262 & 156 (49.3 ov)

Matty Inness ended up with 4, Wise 5 & Cam White with 1.

That should ensure the Vic's in the final.

Great Effort by the Vics.

Shane Warne will be a handy inclusion to the team as and when required.

Hodge
Hussey
Moss
White
McDonald
Berry
Lewis

What a revelation Allan Wise has been. This lefty is 24 and only came into the team at the start of this season.

His 7/100 in this match earned him the Man of the Match award.

This was only his 6th. first class game and he now has 24 wickets @ 22.3 including 2 five wicket hauls.

Wise destroys SA

Fox

VICTORIAN first-year paceman Allan Wise took a career-best 5-47 to bowl the Bushrangers to victory over South Australia at Adelaide Oval today and all but book an MCG Pura Cup cricket final.

Victoria went 12 points clear at the top of the table with the 197-run outright win, in its first match without late coach David Hookes, and needs just first innings points in any one of its remaining three games to clinch a home final.

Chasing 354 to win, SA started today at 2-75 with skipper Darren Lehmann and Greg Blewett at the crease and carrying their state's hopes.

But SA suffered a dreadful collapse, losing 8-81 to lose the game before lunch.

Lehmann and Blewett added 14 runs today, taking their partnership to 60 and the score to 2-89, before Blewett was caught behind off Wise for 45, to start the crash.

Wise then claimed the wickets of Mark Cosgrove (4), Mick Miller (7) and Graham Manou (0) to make it 6-109, by which stage a Bushrangers' win was assured.

Fellow left-arm paceman Mathew Inness nailed SA's coffin shut by trapping Lehmann LBW for 45, and bowling John Davison (13) in consecutive overs to take the score to 8-132.

Inness finished the innings with 4-26.

Wise, a tall, strong left-armer, took his career tally to 24 wickets from six matches at an average of 22.29.

He took 2-53 in the first innings, and was the best of Victoria's pacemen in that innings also, dismissing both SA openers after they had put on a 83-run opening stand.

He debuted in Victoria's first game of the season, despite not being contracted, because of injuries to other bowlers, but has earned a regular spot in the side on the back of impressive performances.
