Over 3 1/2 minutes for fast, free flowing football and not one free kick paid, no scrimmages, no stoppages.........what game is this? I like it _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

^ I think it was an old game that used to be played in some parts of the country called "VFL". |

How many Collingwood greats have bounced the ball on a pigeon only to help it fly away?
None.

Which side did he do the 1984 pre-season with - was it St.Vomit, Richmond or Whorethorn? Pretty sure one of those clubs didn't want him.... Fail. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Pendles is the greatest. |
I've heard that Pendles has been reported and sent to the tribunal after the pigeon failed the concussion test. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Was considered by the Swans and Saints, but they overlooked him. Did a pre-season with the Hawks but didn't like it there so went back to Dandenong.
A year later he joined us and the rest is history as they say. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Another 30 disposals game for the Skipper.
I know Swanny had a lot and Robert Harvey has most. Where does Pendles sit on the list ? _________________ Donny.

Outright 4th for games played. And will finish the year in 4th. Should pass Richardson for 3rd early next season if things go well. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Lose to GWS and he'll finish the year on 275 games.
Beat GWS and he'll get to play his 276th in the prelim.
Wayne Richardson is on 277, so to equal that we'd need to make the GF. Otherwise he'll look to equal and pass Richo for 3rd spot early next season.
So right now, he needs:
Quote: | 4 games to pass W. Richardson for third.
26 games to reach 300.
33 games to pass G. Coventry for second.
And 40 games to pass T. Shaw for the club record. |
Turns 31 in January, can he play til 33 and pass Shaw? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Will be equal 3rd with W. Richardson once he's run out for the GF.
Game 300 is actually in reach next season, although he'd have to play 23 games. But you never know.
Hopefully he becomes a Premiership Captain next week. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Post subject: Re: Collingwoods Greatest (& Pendleburys games tally)

Geez a win last Saturday would have looked good on the resume.
Still got time to add another flag, but I think the chance of a Brownlow are gone.
Speaking of Brownlows, Pendles needs 7 more votes to pass Dane Swan as Collingwoods highest vote getter. Pendles is on 180, Swan sits on 186. https://afltables.com/afl/brownlow/totals0.html
4 more votes will see him crack the top 10 for total votes. Sadly, he is 4th behind Matthews, Selwood and Harvey for most votes without winning the medal. And like I said, I think his chances are getting lower as each season passes. Not many winners over the age of 30.
300 games is still a shot. Still equal 3rd for total games at the club. Hopefully he stays fit and reaches 300 in the 2019 finals or early in 2020. https://afltables.com/afl/stats/alltime/collingwood.html _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

As we are about to enter round 1, 2019, Pendlebury needs:
Quote: | 1 game to pass W. Richardson for outright third at Collingwood.
23 games to reach 300.
30 games to pass G. Coventry (306) for second place at the club.
37 games to pass T. Shaw (313) for the club record.
7 more Brownlow votes to pass Dane Swan as Collingwoods highest vote getter.
5 more Brownlow votes to enter the top 10 for total votes.
22 more Brownlow votes to pass Leigh Matthews as the highest total vote winner without winning the medal.*
30 more Brownlow votes to enter the top 5 for total votes.**
*(Depending on Joel Selwood)
*(Depending on Joel Selwood and Dangerfield) |
He looked good in both JLT hitouts. At 31, I hope he can keep it up and reach some of these records.
Above all I want to see him win another premiership, especially as captain. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
