Tyler Brown in a contest with Lisle from Port who looks like he could pick brown up like a battered sav on a stick and eat him whole. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Thanks S&M great call (typing, writing ---whatever)
sounds like atrocious conditions and in that sort of game a win of any sort is a good one _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |

Scrappy, gutsy and solid win in some truly crap conditions after half time. I thought Blair was BOG, McLarty very impressive and Murphy will be a player. Fasolo was ok, not sure he's doing enough though and if Marty Hore doesn't get a gig somewhere next year I'll go he. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Dunno if I'd call Blair BOG, just lucky he didn't drown.
Anyway, short wrap from the Pies site
Quote: | A gutsy Collingwood held on to beat Port Melbourne by just two points in a thrilling VFL encounter at North Port Oval on Saturday.
Leading comfortably by 16-points at half time, the Magpies were rocked by a fast-finishing Borough, who charged back into the lead midway through the third term.
Collingwood steadied, through goals to Gus Borthwick and Jarryd Blair, and eventually held on to win by less than a kick despite several near misses from the home side.
Unfortunately, veteran tall Ben Reid sat out most of the second half due to an injury complaint.
The match was Reid’s first after returning from knee injuries that kept him sidelined since round 10.
“I think he just felt his calf a little bit when he went for a contest,” VFL coach Jared Rivers said.
“It was really unlucky for Ben. He has worked so hard to get himself into a position to play footy (again).
“Today he probably just hurt himself a little bit so we will assess during the week and see where he is at. It is really disappointing for him.”
Collingwood 5.5 7.9 10.9 10.10 (70)
Port Melbourne 4.3 5.5 8.10 9.14 (6
Goals – Collingwood: Gallucci 4, J.Smith, Wellings, Chippendale, Tardrew, Borthwick, Jarryd Blair
Port Melbourne: Haretuku 2, Pearson 2, Lisle 2, Templeton, Searle, Conway

Gallucci, take a bow. In training pics with senior players, he looks tiny. |

Don't know what he ended up with but the wee man seemed to be in everything. Attack on the contest, 2nd efforts, one percenters were fantastic and I reckon he laid about 38 tackles. I think AFL level is now beyond him but loved his game today. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |
