What's better than watching them get flogged in consecutive weeks? Seeing them cough up consecutive wins by one kick . Finishing them off for the year would be even sweeter! _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

In - Howe, McLarty (It's time!)
Out - Oxley, Madgen (a bit stiff) |
I'm different to you. I love a good Port. Port is my favourite drink. I love Port Melbourne. I love Port Adelaide. Two great football clubs. Not as great as Collingwood though. Robbie Grey stands in our way. Not sure whether Greenwood has the pace to go with him, so unsure what Buckley's thinking will be to nullify him. If Ryder is out, Grundy's hitouts will make the Guinness book of records. Inclusions same as above. Howe and McLarty will strengthen our backline. |
Same, have always followed Port Adelaide, find it hard not to like them unless playing us! |

Fk off back to SANFL where you belong you feral pigs!
I hope we give them a hiding, much like that first encounter at the G on the 29/3/1997.
I was one of those 51,883 people out there that day, a great stroll in the park that was! |
I was there as well. Flogged them. _________________ Collingwood forever, forever Collingwood |

Totally agree but he is his at his most dangerous when he has license to do what he wants while Dixon and Ryder play the structured role.
At least Westhoff will be asked to play out of his comfort zone this week with Ryder and / or Dixon missing.
It’s the domino effect that causes the most grief in trying to maintain your structures. |

Grundy has been massive all year, but I'd be wary of being overly confident as he doesn't have an opposition ruckman to worry about. Remember Nic Nat went down early in the Wet Toast game and he didn't dominate as expected. Maynard to R. Gray? Or has that already been tried before? _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

We can squeak into the top 4 is we win both and GWS lose one of their two remaining games.
But if Melbourne beat WCE next week, then Top 4 won't happen. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

At the start of the year I was hopeful but not confident we’d make finals. After Round 1 I thought ‘no way, I’m in for another year of crap football’. But we’ve (all but) made finals now, under duress, and it’s been a great ride.
If we can’t beat a wounded Port at the MCG when realistically we only have Howe and Treloar to maybe come back, we’re not gonna do much damage in finals anyway.
Happy to just enjoy the ride from here.
Only change, Howe if fit in for Oxley. |

I'd love to see McLarty come in, if only to see how he goes in the ones, in case we need to call upon him in the finals. The worry is, that he has not been playing as a defender in the VFL, rather, he's played up forward or in the ruck. With Dunn, Scharenberg, Moore and Reid all gone, we need to have a tall defender to call on.
Having said that, if Howe comes back, Bucks may prefer to simply replace Oxley, letting Madgen keep his spot.
On paper, especially given Port's injuries, we should beat Port.
My preference:
In: McLarty, Howe
Out: Oxley, Madgen
My expectation:
In: Howe
Out: Oxley
(I admit to having a soft spot for Port, dating back to their days as the Magpies of S.A.) |

Don't see a need for McLarty. Selection should be easy this week (no more injuries):
in: Howe
out: Oxley _________________ Well done boys! |

McClarty has the height and he certainly throws himself at the contest but I'm unsure of where we would fit him at AFL level.
He doesn't appear to be overly quick or agile so he'd need to play on the gorillas down back, but I doubt he has the body strength for that yet.
Play him forward with Cox and send Mihocek to the backline impacts the mobility of our forward line.
At the moment, I see him as an insurance policy for Cox and Grundy, able to play key forward and 2nd ruck. If Cox went down, he'd replace him. If Grundy went down, Cox would go into the ruck and McClarty down forward. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Madgen has been pretty good across two games. I don't see any point bringing in yet another debutant to replace him. We've had enough discontinuity, no need to add to it without need. _________________ Well done boys! |
