Only a few weeks out from the end of the season time to have a guess on the Copeland
For mine I have it in this order
Grundy
Pendles
Sidey
JDG
Treloar
Pendles and Sidey could swap quite easily
Wouldn't surprise me if Crisp polled well he's been very good most weeks
Stephenson will win best 1st year player (not a brave call really)
Let's hear ya who's your top 5 |

Grundy will romp it in. He is AA standard and miles above every other ruckman in the comp because of his ability to play around the ground as a utility. |

As above. The others in no particular order are Adams, JDG, WHE, Thomas, Langdon, Crisp and Phillips to round out the top 10.
I assume Treloar and Dunn miss out because of injury and Stephenson I guess is a chance to break into the top 10. |

Agree on Adams, going on Club history, I expect he will be polling very high on the internal KPI's.
But Grundy has been a standout.

Adams
Pendles

It is quite literally impossible for Treloar and JDG to do super well given how much footy each has missed. The voting favors playing each week over playing well.
To do really well you need to play in most games. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

This looks pretty good to me. I think Phillips will finish a lot higher than people think as will Langdon. Others likely to poll quite well are Stevo, Thomas, Mayne and Cox (since they will all likely play close to 22 games). If Howe gets back in the team soon, he'll do ok. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Grundy must win. His has been the single most influential season played in my lifetime by a Collingwood player. He is likely to end the season with 900 hit outs and 500 disposals. Imagine that! He has had his hands on the ball almost 1,200 times in 20 games. He gets more contested possessions (12 and a half per game) than any of our running mids (that’s right: more than Adams, Pendlebury or Sidebottom). He leads our clearances and is third on the team for contested marks (just one behind Howe for the year). He also lays over 5 tackles per game.
Given that he’s at least 2 or 3 years from his rucking peak, if he stays fit, he will be the greatest player the game has ever seen, before he is done. |

P4S we don't agree often but in this instance I would nearly agree totally with you
Our form or dominance quarter by quarter is largely also symbolic of Grundy's form or dominance
His the absolute barometer of this team
I truly hope he wins the Copeland as talls often go unnoticed by judges in all spheres of voting
It's scary how much more he can improve as he learns more about body positioning up forward and becomes a more reliable kick for goal |
