I believe thta Foxtel have changed the signal to the sports channels because it was being 'stolen' to show in pubs and clubs. That must mean that the signals to 53,54,55 are somehow harder to pinch.

I have cable Foxel and the signal is always clear for channels 11 & 13 but I've noticed that they repeat the channels as well.

You will notice that for the next month or so that the Footy Channel will be furry around the edges and then clear.
We get Footy Channel on Austar 54,and some nights its clear and some its bloody terrible.
With the innovation of 'digital transmission' you will notice that the transmission gets VERY crisp and clear.

Isnt Austar satellite? I believe that atmospheric conditions could cause some interference and fuzziness to the signal. Cable doesnt have that problem but roll on digital, cant wait for 5.1 surround sound, high definition, mutli-angle etc. woo-hoo

I have foxtel cable and my dad has foxtel satellite.

The reception for the satellite is far superior and in fact is already a digital signal. Just doesn't have all the extras that have been talked about recently.
