Once they found out that Hogan was up for trade they knew Moore would not get them a high enough draft pick for May so they pivoted to beams |

The pressure on Pendles is eased by the acquisition of Beams, it frees him up to do solid creative work forward of or behind the ball as required. Also a potentially career lengthening recruitment for the skipper. Beams moving into such an already strong midfield also reduces the pressure on him, he's been performing in place of a whole team week in week out for 4 years, just hope he's not too battered. Bold, but an exceptionally astute trade if conditions permit next season. _________________ McRae for Governor-General! |

Just what we need, get rid of a good small forward and replace him with an average one |

How do we rate Ned Guy? Who knows if it was him alone or taking advice or working as part of a team?
I thought he did better this year than he did last year; not noticed last year _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Why not? Hopefully a new club, supportive environment, new coach, some maturity from when he first started. He wont cost too much. Worth a punt. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Good reason: he wasnt with us last year as active. The notes from October last year when he commenced with us was that he would take a back seat alluding to 2017
Mind you, it would be great to get a breakdown of the recruiting dept with a spiel about who is there & who does what (not necessarily with whom) _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Fasolo, better than this reject
Surely you are better taking a punt on a kid who may become good than someone who has already proven they are no good? |

I'd rather pick up Jok.
Hopefully Elliot is back and with Beams in the side, Brown and/or Daicos can become small pressure forwards. |

We need to make three mandatory change I think (is that right MM?) which essentially means bringing in Beams, Kelly and Quaynor. Delistings / losses = Fasalo, Kirby, Broomhead (onto the rookie list? Does that count?). Miohcek will be upgraded too you would think, so someone else has to go to accomodate that - maybe put Murray on the rookie list to free this up.
If you want to bring anyone else in, someone else has to go out. So we would need to delist Oxley, Smith, etc. It's probably worth it to take a shot on a kid, is it worth it for a player who will be depth? I don't know.

I think he would be good depth if it was just a footballer we were getting. Not sure we want an alpha male jumping into a defensive group that is already working well _________________ We shall set our course by the stars and not ships that pass in the night |
