Great Deal: Natural leader by example! A player you would want to play alongside week in week out. One game that typifies this was the prelim against the Tigers. You could swear he was everywhere and I can still remember some telling tackles. |

Terry Wallace broke the news on SEN saying Adams will need a bone graft and will miss eight weeks.
But Jon Ralph on the Herald-Sun just tweeted: "Pies confirm Taylor Adams has a finger injury but still awaiting details from experts on the way forward. Not sure yet what that will be so they can't confirm he needs a bone graft yet." |

“‘Tay’ will be able to keep his aerobic fitness high and, being the professional he is, he will make sure that he doesn’t miss a day more of the season than he has to. It is likely, though, that he will miss the first couple of rounds of the AFL season.”
Delayed surgeries yet again. _________________ Est. 2002 |

He has had it for a while by the sounds of it well a number of weeks. Could they not made a call a couple of weeks ago now looks like he is going to miss the opening 2-3 games. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Faifax now reporting he’ll miss first two rounds of the H&A season…
Finger surgery to force Taylor Adams out of opening rounds
By Michael Gleeson
February 28, 2019
Tough Collingwood midfielder Taylor Adams will have finger surgery on Friday that will sideline him for about six weeks and force him to miss the first two rounds of the season.
Adams injured the middle finger earlier in the pre-season and had been managing to play and train with it for weeks by taping it up.
He consulted a surgeon about making a splint for it but it was agreed that would be insufficient and he required surgery to repair the tendon.
The club expects the surgery to keep him out for five to six weeks, meaning he is likely to miss the first two games of the season.
“The finger continually displaces, and has done so for some time," said Collingwood's football general manager Geoff Walsh in a club statement on Thursday.
"It had reached the stage where bracing the finger or taping it were not adequate solutions and it was not improving.
“ ‘Tay’ will be able to keep his aerobic fitness high and, being the professional he is, he will make sure that he doesn’t miss a day more of the season than he has to.
"It is likely, though, that he will miss the first couple of rounds of the AFL season.
“We’ll know more, obviously, once his recovery has begun.” [cont...]

Love love love Taylor Adams, we will miss him for shaw, but we have good depth, and a great team attitude. and if we cannot win without 1 midfielder missing, then we aint got a hope in hell! A champion TEAM not a team of champions.
Get better soon Tay, We need you, for leadership and skills. but most importantly, get better properly and fully. cheers _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

A bit disappointing but you win some, you lose some.
Adams misses the first couple weeks ( while keeping his fitness up ) and DeGoey is now back on the track doing sprints.
Just gives someone else a chance to consolidate a position .... if they’re good enough. |

That is a rather sweeping generalization. |
