38 in Perth and you know it's warm when it's 37 at Hillarys!
The southerly has just hit Rotto and the temp has dropped 3 degrees in 30 minutes (30 to 27).
I heard on the radio, they are having extended breaks in the match. If it stays warm, I can see them shortening the quarters.
They Abandoned the York races today due to the temperature ..... so a horse can't run a K or so.... but blokes can run around for 2 hours? _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Not fussed about the W or L here.
Just no injuries thanks.
And if it's really 38, then surly they shorten the quarters and lengthen the breaks? _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Always difficult to know what to expect from these hit outs. Winning is nice of course but irrelevant in the scheme of things. Looking perhaps to maybe see some set plays take shape, and in particular to see Elliot rampaging and leaping in the forward line once again (its been so long!). Be interesting to see if he and Stevenson can form a tag team inside 50.
And no injuries please. |

The two clubs should be sensible too and agree on how they want to approach it. There's nothing to stop them e.g. agreeing to spending the first quarter trying to play keepings off, with minimal running. |

For those wondering where Sier is, we already lost Adams for a couple weeks so there is no point risking our other wrecking ball
Sier will be very important for us in Rd1 and 2 _________________ On the eve of a Dynasty |

I know its just a preseason but I'm excited to see the boys have a run, most important - no injuries.
Hope to see them all preform without over doing it. Win/loss does not really matter (but win is always a better feeling) |

Nice to see some height in the backline once again. It's not a bad looking side, even if it was rd 1, I'd be happy with it. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Flicked it over to the fox footy channel early and caught the last 15 minutes of an interview with Dane Beams and his brother Clay about coping last year when their dad died.
Powerful stuff, I got a bit of dust in my eye at one point. I don't know the name of the female interviewer but she was damn good.
Edit, it was Neroli Meadows and this is the interview https://www.lions.com.au/video/2018-08-22/on-the-mark-dayne-and-claye-beams _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
