I have to agree with the Fox guys doing last Sat game on our forward line &
JT is a part of it in the kick a goal from a half (or no chance)
They said we get marks to goal (Reid /Checkers/Stevo) crumb them from opportunists (JT / WHE ) and manufacture from our hard running wings Flip & Sidey
At its best virtually unstoppable and JDG the ultimate beast style goal too

Why all this talk about JT?
Not many crafty small forwards on our list. Especially ones who can have stints in the midfield and also apply forward pressure.
He's going well. There will be quiet games, but he is kicking a goal a game and getting better each week.

Matt if it’s not JT it’s Flip or Langers that come in for discussion
It takes a mix of all kinds to build a good side —the go in players, the standout athletes like Moore—the silk of Pendlebury and of course the pace of Stevo
From my view JT is as valuable in his roll as Pendlebury is with silky talent
It’s just the preparedness to accept each for his contribution

Injuries starting to mount up again. Perhaps Goldsack will get a call-up after all.

Ben Reid is doing a great job as our tall marking option in attack—-his attack on the ball when he doesn’t mark is excellent
Jordan fit and firing increase,s our potency incredibly——we just keep doing what we are doing and let time handle the rest

Who for Langdon??? |
Goldsack played forward and back in the VFL (Mainly forward). He was good, presented well and I feel relieved that he's there if we need him. He can cover for Langdon if needed. Has a good track record Vs Sydney.
IQ has been emergency a few times. Has been travelling and developing nicely in the VFL. Playing with guys like Goldsack and Wells has been great for him. If he were at another club, he may have played a few AFL games by now. He could come in.
Madgen played on Franklin last year remember? I dont think he'll be considered for a call up yet, but he is a leader in the VFL backline. He was fairly good in the VFL last week, had a goal or two kicked on him, but overall, had a good match bar one dropped mark. Unlikely.
Those are your three possibilities to replace Langdon if your looking for someone to play the same role.
Otherwise Wells, Daicos and Sier will be considered as they all played well in the VFL. But we could still see Wills dropped for one of these guys.

Of those I’d go Goldy —-he is a swing man like Reid
And JDG

With Langdon now joining Moore, Appleby, Murphy and Scharenberg on the unavailable list our defensive depth is looking vulnerable for the first time this season.
I wonder if Goldsack is still in our thinking after he's spent most of the year playing forward in the VFL.
