Waited 9 weeks for a knee operation that he hoped would heal naturally
I wonder what pressure the club has applied to him for him to give in and go under the knife
Mark it as read there is a very real chance if this operation doesn't have the desired outcome his career may be over
... |
Well, if the op is so dicey, it's reasonable for him to have waited till it really was a last resort. |

Fremantle never interviewed him at all that was all media speculation started by his manager I would guess trying to get the club to make a longer larger offer (our original was 1 year)
Sydney spoke to him but didn't go any further due to his knee issues
Harley said publicly they never made him a offer spoke to him but they didn't think he would fit there needs which is nice speak for his knees are stuffed we aren't interested
We gave in on the back of a good finals series and gave him a second year which now seems a bad decision if his knee is as bad as being touted
Time will tell mate but our club certainly has a history of keeping broken players around to long now |
Again, I posted in another blog kudos to your research. However, I do remember Harley on NAB trade radio declaring their interest in Tom. _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

Mate, we beat the Eagles in Perth just 10 days ago (and a quick study of how teams perform after going to PErth might prove instructive in regards our lethargy this past weekend)! 22 rounds is a long time and every team has had its ups and downs. I wouldn't be writing us off just yet. _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

Name ONE instance where waiting vs surgery has worked at Collingwood in recent years. |
Wouldn't have mattered if the surgery was done immediately or now. He would have been out for the season anyway.
The club always had a glimmer of hope that he might return this year and surgery would not be necessary. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

That was the rumour I heard about 6 weeks ago and posted
Every other part of it has come true thus far
I'm no Langdon fan but you can't blame the kid for getting a second opinion and trying to avoid what might be career ending surgery
It hasn't even started to heal apparently and basically he's been left with no choice
We will know the answer on a couple weeks I guess once he goes back for his reviewing the surgeon |
