He was actually the second-longest-serving Adelaide coach by games coached, behind only Neil Craig. |

No, this is not correct.
Neil Craig = 2004-2011 (166 games)
Gary Ayres = 2000-2004 (107 games)
Don Pyke = 2016-2019 (93 games)
Graham Cornes = 1991-1994 (89 games)
Malcolm Blight = 1997-1999 (74 games)
Brenton Sanderson = 2012-2014 (69 games)
Robert Shaw = 1995-1996 (44 games)
Phil Walsh = 2015 (12 games) _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Thanks Jezza - the list I saw didn’t have Ayres in it for some reason. It’s surprising, though, that only one coach in their history has lasted over 5 seasons. |

^ No worries, P4S.
It's a quirky stat. I always wonder whether Phil Walsh could have lasted 5+ seasons. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

^ Could be Brad Crouch, Betts or Jenkins. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

There really is a big clearance sale going on at the Crows.
After the coach has been sacked, the following seems likely:
Greenwood to the Suns.
Jenkins to a Victorian Club. (Collingwood?)
Brad Crouch to a Victorian Club on huge dollars. (St Kilda?)
Eddie Betts to Carlton.
Sam Jacobs to GWS.
Cam Ellis-Yolmen to Brisbane.
Alex Keath to Bulldogs.
Rory Atkins has also been linked to Dogs/Saints/Blues. While Rory Laird has been linked to Geelong. Riley Knight and Jake Kelly have signed on for 2020. And there's question marks over Tex Walkers future at the club.
They are still in the hunt for a new coach.
What a mess over in Adelaide. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Starting to run out of time.
Greenwood still needs to get to the Suns.
Jenkins still needs to get to a Victorian Club. (Collingwood?)
Brad Crouch still needs to get his billion dollars and move clubs. Or was that Matt Crouch?
Eddie Betts has returned to Carlton.
Sam Jacobs still needs to get to GWS.
Cam Ellis-Yolmen has gone to Brisbane.
Alex Keath still needs to get to Bulldogs.
Rory Atkins was linked to Dogs/Saints/Blues, but nothing will come of it.
Rory Laird was linked to Geelong, but he will remain a one club player.
Tex Walker is no longer captain but looks to remain at the club.
Things are still a mess, but now they have a new coach, it doesnt seem as bad. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Edit edit edit - Jenkins got to Geelong and Keath to Footiscray.
The verdict on their 2019 trade period? - at least they kept some players and they’ll be drafting some more in, so they should just about be able to field 22 most weeks in 2020. |

So they kept Brad Crouch who was looking for a big pay day. Everyone else that wanted out, got out.
I dont think there was anything serious about Rory Atkins, Rory Laird and Tex Walker leaving.
A crack at their best 22:
FB: Laird, Hartigan, Brown
CHB: Smith, Talia, Kelly
C: Seedsman, B. Crouch, Mackay
CHF: Gibbs , Walker, Lynch
FF: Jones, Fogarty, Knight
FOL: O'Brien, M. Crouch, Sloane
INT: Milera, Doedee, Gallucci, Poholke _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |
