So Treloar doesn’t get through the first game.
Are we really surprised?
Moore will be next, bet your life on it. |

Well, some are surprised that the club would grind him into the Wang ground instead of resting him for the fourth quarter, but maybe you're saying that should not be a surprise either. |

I think the major surprise was that he got up and took his kick, anyway, after feeling the twinge. Surely he could just have put his hand up to go off and let someone take the kick for him? That seemed very bizarre, watching it all unfold.
I also wondered at the time whether he needed to go so hard for the mark - it was a game in which plenty of players on both teams just let the opposition run past them rather than stretch for a tackle. I assume that was just players not over-committing their bodies in March. I guess it’s difficult to hold back if you’re a see ball, get ball type of player, though. |

Imagine this injury list:
Whole team: Self-isolation 2 weeks

You don't want to admit he got his law degree from the same place you did? |

But that is Treloar to a tee. Runs as hard as he can, then often kicks as hard and flat as he can without steadying. He has one gear and it is top speed. Has been dominant in the intra-club matches at training and racked up another 34 touches again yesterday. Unfortunately, it meant he dived to retrieve the poor Hoskin-Elliott pass and did the damage. Good news is it was an unusual action to do it. Not like Nathan Freeman who just pinged it running upright back in the day.
I think Tay Adams is a bit the same. Everything is hard at it. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Is Will Kelly injured? Thought he'd be a certain starter last Sunday against the Tiges. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

Minor strain for treloar back to rehab for 3 looks like missing round 1 but back round 2 if all goes well hope he heals well should do barring Langdon Varcoe Greenwood and now treloar every player should be available to play round 1 with a match this weekend to come stkilda at Morwell |

Sheesh, if I was playing footy at any level, I'd be extremely concerned about my long term health!!!! I can't imagine what the likes of Liam Picken and Paddy McCarten must be feeling right now.

No worries, PPie.
Liam wants a concussion sub. So does Eade.
Bruckner, who has appeared before in this thread, sounds like a denialist. |

Support for those with concussion needs to increase: Jack Frost
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/support-for-those-with-concussion-needs-to-increase-jack-frost-20200303-p546if.html
"Under the current system clubs will pay the medical bills of players who need to be treated for injuries sustained in their career for 18 months before AFLPA programs such as the injury and hardship fund kick in to pay for ex-players to have approved treatment.
Frost praised the AFLPA's efforts in supporting players post their career with players allocating $4 million per year to the injury and hardship fund and players who retire due to concussion eligible for career-ending injury payments that relate to their age and income in their final year. Former players can also access scans and free counselling with Frost having his most recent scan just before the end of last year." |

I'd prefer they add 2 players to the bench. I was never a fan of the sub rule. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)
