Goodbye then. Hopefully when you do come back we'll have a new coach, a new recruiting manager and we might even be building a champion side. We are simply one of the ugliest sides to watch playing footy ever. |
Look criticism is a democratic right and certainly worthy in the case of Collingwood. Those on this site that obsessively post and can’t take any view different to their own should leave and refrain from posting. I cop personal and disgraceful attacks when I post, yet I merely laugh it off. I find one poster on here rather nasty and find it interesting that same poster threatens to leave when anyone differs with them . Unbelievable arrogance and immaturity. Collingwood needs more courageous fans prepared to stand up to the current administration and pitiful on field efforts. That’s why we pay our membership. We have skin in the game and have invested our hard earned money for decades. How dare any poster suggest we can’t criticise failure . Go away and stay off this site if you don’t like freedom of speech. Or better still declare you a club plant or just a totalitarian lover. I think the real heroes at our Club are some of the posters on this site who dare to question failure and criticise poor performance. I am proud of the mods who allow free speech and uphold the best traditions of a healthy democracy. |
Well said Hiss. And I agree about the mods too mate. They are doing a terrific job at the moment letting everyone have their say. It will only make the club stronger. |

Well it’s now or never. We need to win all the games left to give us the best chance of having an impact in the finals. Considering the form fluctuations, it is a huge ask. Lose one more and practically, we would be done. So simply go all out to win them. FFS get rid of these costly turnovers that gift the opposition shit easy goals and stop any momentum we have😡 Play hard footy, make everyone accountable and if losing go down fighting 🔪🪓🥊 _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. We’re not going to beat Port Adelaide final round, especially if it’s played in Adelaide |

I think it’s being played in Brisbane,so it’s a very winnable game for us.Also they might have top spot wrapped up by then,so it could be a dead rubber for them. |

Likely not, as – even if we've sewn up a finals spot by then, which is far from certain – the Port game will likely decide who we play in Week 1, as there'll probably still be a chance to finish 6th or 7th and avoid whichever team finishes 5th (which might well be West Coast or Richmond). _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Got news for ya
We are not making the finals unless we beat Port
- GWS has a game in hand against Adelaide on Tuesday, when they win they will be 2 points infront of us, they should also beat STK and Melb
- Doggies are 2 points behind us and have Hawhorn and Freo to play, both games should be wins, which means if we lose to Port, we finish 9th

Yep, we need an upset if we can't beat Port.
We need one of the following to happen:
Freo to beat Melb tomorrow
Hawks to beat the Dogs next week
Ess to beat Melb in final round
Freo to beat the Dogs in the final round.
If they don't happen, we finish 9th. |

If Freo beat Melb that doesn't matter, because if GWS and Doggies keep winning which most likely will happen
We will still miss out
Not sure if you know but Bulldogs just beat WC |

I don’t think it matters. Sadly, we will just be making up the numbers ( if we play finals at all). |

It was a game we clearly could have won with a little luck but unlike some I don't take any solace in that because:
* Brisbane shanked some shots on goal big time
* 5.4 is not a "winning" score even this year
* We only took the game on at the end when/because we were well behind
* Brisbane only had 2 on the bench most (all?) of the 2H
I sent 3 text messages to my mate during the game, at each break:
1/4 time: Our I50 entries are awful
1/2 time: Turnovers are killing us
3/4 time: We'll either lose by 5 points or 50 from here

They'll be coming off a 5 day break versus our 10 day break so according to half the posters in this thread, it's in the bag _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |
