"Seventeen players return to the squad after a successful 2022 season, with the remaining 20 players new to the club.

2022 best and fairest award winner Matilda Zander is amongst the returnees, alongside runner up Katie Lee and second runner up Elizabeth Jackson, and foundation players Sarah King and Nicole Hales.

Former Western Bulldogs VFLW captain Riley Christgoergl also joins the Pies fray, while 2022 SANFL Women's Best and Fairest winner Jess Bates makes the move from South Australia."

VFLW leadership group for 2023 has been confirmed:

"Caitlyn Bunker, a 2019 VFLW premiership player, will take the reins as Captain for a third consecutive season.

The 29-year-old will be supported for a third year by foundation players Katelyn Lee and Sarah King who will serve as Vice-Captains. Rounding out the leadership group is new recruit, Riley Christgoergl."

I am looking forward to checking out some games this season, are they going to be streamed again, do you know?

Nothing yet as to the streaming schedule but assume that games will be shown via the website as they were last year.

I usually check the fixtures and website a couple of days before each round to see what is scheduled:

Also, as a side note, I had a chat to Chloe McMillan (VFLW coach) at the netball last weekend.

She is very happy with her role at the Pies and the support she is getting via the Women’s Coach Acceleration Program. Getting a lot of experience working with the senior mens team & coaches.

Quite a few list changes but she was looking forward to the start of the season.

Was really hopeing that Frederick would either call time and retire for good or move to another club.
