Okay, before making up claims like that, how about you ask the mods if that is possible, or if there is something going on?
Second, I'm not sure why you posted it in the Cheersquad Forum because nothing is going to done about it in there.
Now, onto the actual post.
What is the actual problem?
If your computer is crashing, it is more likely a virus, ie. has nothing to do with Nick's. Second, there is NO evidence to suggest that somone is posting using other peoples usernames.
If there is a problem, can you pleas explain it a little clearer, and tell us exactly what is happening. |

Of course it is possible. When you open your puter to programs like Nicks it makes it very easy for Hackers to enter.
There is no need to be so nasty about it I only put the Post in to warn others to be careful. But honestly I shouldn't have bothered. When you all start having prob don't coming running. |

I'm not being nasty, it's just not a great thing to say something when it is unfounded.
Nick's is not a computer program, it is merely a website, and a computer cannot be hacked via Nick's. Nick's does not view data on a persons computer, nor does it distribute it, nor does it access it. Nick's merely stores your password.
Your computer, however, may be hacked via Internet Explorer, or a malicious website.
Somone can't just hack your computer when you access Nick's. |

A decent firewall will protect you from any hackers attempts
A program like "ZoneAlarm" will also tell you who is hacking you.
As for computer crashing, sounds like a virus/worm. I suggest you do a virus scan with an up to date anti-virus program. Norton is good and will give you automatic updates every time you connect to the net if you set it up right.
I agree with Joel that there really is no way that Nicks could be used to hack you. |
