| A shock today with the passing of Simon Crean. A great Labour person from a great Labour family. My former neighbour was a close friend of Simon and his father, I also met Simon through my neighbour and have a lasting memory of his demeanor. |

Sad news.
By all accounts a very decent and honourable man. I was a young kid, but I remember him well when he was opposition leader against John Howard.
RIP.

Sad. I recall his brother missing years ago in the snow. Was never found.
