A radio report credited to Mike Davis stated that Collingwood have approached Gary Lyon to be assistant or reserves coach next season. They are not willing to take on an untried coach at the senior level, unless it is Dermot Brereton.

Lyon would be a good choice. Balme would certainly be able to testify as to his football brain.

If we did score Lyon and Dermie, the coaches box wold start to look like the footy show panel.

I'm not lyin' (or telling pork pies for that matter). It was reported on Sport927. Listen to the Collingwood show tonight(Wednesday) at about 11PM and let me know if its mentioned there.

If this did eventuate, perhaps Eddie the could continue the Footy Show panel theme with Sam as ruck coach. Everitt and Lloyd would be handy too. We would have to stop there before Roland and Trev came up next in the draft.
