Following the example of those orange-clad whingers in the Ukraine, I urge ALL green voters to put on your green scarves and take to the streets to protest against John Howard's tainted, corrupt and invalid election "victory" last month.

The lesson is clear ... our freedom-loving democratic brethren from the Ukraine have shown us all that when an election doesn't go the way you want it to go, all you have to do is put on the appropriate coloured scarf, and go into the streets and make a bloody great song-and-dance about how you were CHEATED ... and the "free" press in the "free" world will publicise your whingeing as if it were the gospel truth.

So, come on comrades ... Get those green scarves out and DEMAND that Bob Brown be installed into his rightful place as Prime Minister of Australia.

You'd be best off planning your protest for St Patricks Day Alf, then you'd get a lot more green wearing folk out on the street!

"tainted, corrupt and invalid"? Would you care to clarify those terms exactly, and explain how they applied to the 2004 Australian federal election?

true, but you have to have a decent reason to claim you were cheated....

surely you can't be serious....bob brown as prime minister of Australia? Shocked Shocked Besides, 93% of the population would not be too pleased about that (I mean 'leaving the country' not pleased.....)

Sadly I believe you are too optimistic Tarrant, as long as there is that 7% or whatever of extremists there will always be the Greens or a similar party.

Sorry to disappoint you, Mick ... but it's 3 years between elections in this country.

We haven't actually become America yet ... although I'm sure we're working on it.

For god's sake, David from Canberra ... I'm not sure what vitamin helps to boost one's sense of humour, but you're clearly deficient.

And if you read my comments again it might dawn on you that it was really more a comment about the Ukraine than Australia.

Maybe it would have made more sense if I'd said those whingeing orange losers in the Ukraine have got about as much claim on that election as Collingwood has got on the 2002 premiership.

Sure, Brisbane had the salary cap rort.

Sure, Anthony Rocca got robbed of a goal.

Sure, Lynch got a bullshit free kick right in front of goal.

But Brisbane won the premiership ... GET OVER IT.

Now ... translate that into the current situation in the Ukraine ... and then you might understand what I'm saying Rolling Eyes

the situation in the ukraine is totally different to any supposed 'situation' in Australia.

Thats because there is NO situation in Australia! End of story!
