I think sometimes things are best left unsaid. Regardless of peoples views of the man, he has passed on. Let every man/woman or creature who has passed be at peace. If there is positive feeling towards him by all means air it but anything remotely negative against a man who has never been convicted of any major crime, to me it's just tasteless.

I am not catholic and therefore do not follow his preachings. However, many catholics loved the man. My 2 cents worth just tends to think that he should be given peace now by those who don't like him.

If my post has offended anyone please PM me, this is not the place for a religion debate.

The church's hope rests with the Archbishop of Milan. If the light of reason shines on the College of Cardinals and he is appointed the church will again move forward.
Any alternative does not bear thinking about.

In all the talking about the new pope, and who it might be not one person has mentioned God in the process? I hope someone consults him?

Cheers

Perhaps all those debates should be in another thread,

As Joel said when he started this thread on the Pope's health/death

Joel wrote:
Still alive atm, but very close to death. Although I'm not religious, and I don't agree with alot of thing that the Pope had to say, I believe he deserves some respect. When he eventually passes on, Rest in Peace.

Please don't use this thread to debate the merits of religion.

Yes. Thanks for the reminder, Jacqui.

I meant to split some posts into a separate thread a few days ago.

They can be found in 'The Pope and the RC church'
