I know you have akready talked about this, but I was reading some of the articles on www.realfooty.com and it says

The reason Mike Shithead is bagging Eddie is because he will be out of a job at Channel 7 with Talking Footy. Please I hope they don't drag him across for a similar show. He is such a cockhead that bloke I can't handle it. At least Blighty used to give him hell on the show and put him in his place quite often.
