newcastle have been speaking to leeds about alan smith but as yet have not made an official bid but from what i have heard a bid should come soon and i will post again if it does

i wasn't told any fee and i normally am not told about fees but i reckon close to 7-8 million pound

i would love to sign him as i think he is a fantastic striker

Matty are you mad? Alan Smith is a dud who cant control his temper, he was hot about 3 years ago but since has crumbled.

You blokes have alot of other players playing in the magoos who could play better than him, and paying more than 3 million pounds for him would be robbery, lets remember that Kewell went for only 5 mil and he is 10 times better than Smith!

Leeds are a classic. Its like people trying to escape of a sinking ship. The quality players they have lost in recent years is amazing and most of them they have sold at a loss. They either over valued the player at the start or under valued them at the end.....lol

Chelsea would want to do well in the Champions League this year and ensure a position there next year or they will be headed down the same path as Leeds.

The difference is Chelsea isn't going into debt to fund their acquisitions, it's been bankrolled by their Russian oil billionaire owner.
