| Post subject: Congratulations to Brisbane Lions Coach |  |

Just read today that Brisbane Senior Coach Lippitch grabbed a senior player by the throat and gave it to him for defiance of former Pies superstar and now Assistant Lions Coach Wowoden. I say well done Lippitch. I fully support players getting a whack or two by a coach needing to maintain discipline. It worked on us when I played junior footy. Keep it up. Hope Bucks learns from this.

The Helicopter parenting era is making dealing with players an issue. You have to pamper them and cannot swear at them or put them down in anyway and the list roles on. If you do, the parents will be up in arms and ask for your removal and remove their children from your club. Recently Rowville lost 7 junior teas to another club because the parents were up in arms. The flow on affect in Seniors means the players are soft and won't put in the hard yards. If we are not careful, soccer will take over. |

| It was a clash of Ego's, little Johnny should be playing FF and so on. The Board and club sided with the coaches and bang they lost all those teams to Lysterfield. Funny thing is they don't have Seniors. Dealing with Junior Parents is a nightmare, I avoid them at all costs. |

Lysterfield will pay a price for that. If the parents did it once they will do it again. If any of them kids are any good they may find themselves in trouble. Because TAC coaches won't take that and neither will half decent suburban coaches. How many Damir Clokes can a club stand. Good luck if they want to play senior footy with new club in the Dandenong area and mummy has a go at the coach because he wants to play full forward. He will, permanently in the 2s.

Should have just introduced the Robert Walls-Shane Strempel drill from 1991. Worked wonders for all involved.
