The club is in free fall and until the club realises Buckley can't coach, it will transcend further into free fall. |

The day Buckley walks will be the start of a long slow improvement.
I listened to SEN during the first quarter and Foxtel during the last 3.
Both sets of commentators were scathing of our defensive structures.
Obviously, Port had studied our defensive structure of the last few weeks.
We press right up, so Port played fast footy and got it out the back time after time after time.
Depressing really.
A number of players aren't up to speed.
I have never criticised Pendles but his leadership in the second half was poor. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.

Transcend? Maybe for those who are hoping for us to fail, for the rest of us it would be a descent. _________________ Well done boys! |

That's as low as we have been for a very long time.
Today, the Collingwood Football Club was embarrassed by its players.
We are genuinely behind Carlton. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Ohh and Sinclair |
And Sinclair was excellent? I agree. |
Shat himself several times in close, just not AFL standard. _________________ Defender...........

Must have been close to 10 goals from their goal square. If we played a goal keeper, it would be a better defensive structure.
I'm not a wrap for our structure. It is flawed and continues to fail. Had a Good patch for the year for 3 weeks. But we now continue on the path of the first 5 rounds.
Round 15 we need to make a call on the coach. But I have little faith Bucks can correct the ship. We need a fresh start. Bolton and Beveridge show what a good definsive structure can do.
Injuries are not an excuse for a continued poor structure. Which is what is our greatest issue is. Goal square goals is a massive sign of it.
Dissapointing effort from players too. Pathetic really. Gave up after half time.
Lack backline leadership.
Maynard. Pfft. May as well bring in a WWE wrestler. Has no poise and no idea with ball on hand. Cox has more idea.
Not sure what else to say. Other than we need to change the defensive structure. Otherwise we are going nowhere fast. |

That's the only reason he was picked. To divert attention from the bozo in the coaches box. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

Just on the 'coaching'
Goodyear is played as an inside mid all season in the VFL.
Not once has he played as a crumbling HFFer.
The second he comes in, they play him in a position that he hasn't played all year.
Just deplorable coaching. |

Some of these responses seem to be templates as they don't reflect the actual game in any way. Sinclair was very good, barely made a mistake. Blair played one of his better games and gave a great effort. Maynard was ok but did make a number of mistakes. |
Blair, watch the game!!!
He fumbles, he misses handballs and he doesn't ever, ever, ever chase!
He gets some kicks and does some reasonable things but he is not AFL standard.
So this year in 10 games he has 8 goals.
Standard return year after year for Blair. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Pretty insipid. To get beaten in contested ball by 25 says it all.
We really need a hard, strong and big bodied midfielder to smash open packs and deliver the ball well. De Goey should grow into that role, so I'd like him to be used on the ball for most of the remainder of this season, instead of used as a HFF.
I thought Cox played his best game yet, and will be a powerful weapon next year. I think our defensive unit are a bit slow. With Howe and Reid taking intercept marks, there's no role for Oxley, who is slow and not physical enough for my liking.
Once again, when we are being beaten, there seems to be a lack of on field leadership marshaling the troops and directing players where to go and what to do. Given our dominance in the hitouts, it was pathetic that we were unable to take control at stoppages.
Cloke tried hard, but looks finished to me. We'd be better playing another midfielder or small forward in his place.
Overall, a very disheartening performance after 3 weeks of very hard fought contested footy. |
