If prison is such a great place and a party what are you doing on the outside.
Shouldn't you be doing everything to get put in the clink.
Bingo and table tennis, mate can I have a guernsey.
If some think that is great quality of life then maybe these people would have a better life in there. |

Would be amused to see how either would cope with being remanded in custody before trial, may be a nice little test of survival. Minimum security can be an easy regime as long as not with violent offenders otherwise in harder categories, life aint so easy.
We are pre-supposing whether MS Osborne is for HM pleasure but life may not be too easy for her in the clink. Re her guilt, if they have conclusive proof she's stole from the club, then she has no legal leg to stand on re unfair dismissal, end of story. The drugs are another matter and for the cops to handle. |
Um helloooooooooooo life isnt meant to easy in jail. Thats the whole point of jail!!!! Maybe if people thought of the consequences then they would not do the crime.

The name has been published in the article, so there is no problem with that. What we don't want to do is make connections to people that aren't related to what happened.
For example (totally unrelated to this case); you can't implicate the relative, or friend of a drug lord, just because they are close to them. |

JLC,
My point was much the same as yours and was at least attempting to point that out to those intellects who believe jail is some sort of Club Med.
There is also the fact that having served time, it's on yr record for the rest of yr life and can count against you ie when looking for jobs. _________________ he's an animal, what can u expect!!! |

Has anyone here:
choose one or more of the following
1. Been to Jail?
2. Known someone who has been to jail (ie friend relative no more than 2 degrees of separation)?
3. Worked in a jail or has known someone who has? (no more than 2 degrees of separation)
4. Been to jail for a crime they didn't commit and been part of a 4 man A-team style gang on the run?
5. All of the above.
Otherwise we are all just performing a figurative comparison of choads. Another my dads bigger than your dad chapter. _________________ Chuffed to have seen 3 flag wins in my lifetime but still greedy for more. |

Newelly,
Did spend some time in the Sth African army slammer, got acquitted at court martial, does that qualify.
A cousin is a screw at Long Bay aka "the Malabar Hilton" or "the college of knowledge", Sydney's long time no.1 penal institution.
Sad to say that my only incarceration in Aus has been a night in the cells about 15 years ago along with the rest of my football club after a bit of hows ya father with some bikies.
By yr criteria, have some claims under category 1, 3 and 4. _________________ he's an animal, what can u expect!!! |

This thread was spinning out of control. Thought I'd find out for myself who actually has some insight into the subject matter and who's blind but thinks they can see. _________________ Chuffed to have seen 3 flag wins in my lifetime but still greedy for more. |

After our GF effort, i hereby give you the matching job to go with your jacket.
Just remember:
J.Cloke is a defender, not a forward.
A.Rocca is a CHF, not a coaches-box assistant.
A.Didak can't win us games getting splinters in his bum on the bench.
R.Shaw can't stand up in slippers.
R.Cole can't rub his head and pat his tummy at the same time.
B.Kinnear can do no wrong. |

Drug accused loses Pies job
Ben Packham
28nov03
A COLLINGWOOD Football Club manager accused of trading signed Magpie jumpers for drugs will not return to her job.
Sherryn Osborne had filed for unfair dismissal after being sacked over drug trafficking charges.
But the claim was resolved yesterday at a closed meeting with Collingwood officials.
The club would not disclose the settlement, but said Ms Osborne would not be getting her job back.
The former merchandising manager -- who allegedly conducted drug deals while at work -- is understood to have claimed the club did not follow due process, thus denying her natural justice.
Ms Osborne, 28, who declined to comment, was released on bail in September on charges she trafficked commercial quantities of ecstasy and amphetamines.
A court heard she was found with a number of signed Collingwood football jumpers, which she used to swap for amphetamines.
She also used a work phone to call her drug supplier and boyfriend, who is a co-defendant in the case, the Melbourne Magistrates' Court was told. The court was told Ms Osborne used drugs -- including ecstasy and so-called ice amphetamine -- weekly.
Ms Osborne is accused of traf ficking 3000 ecstasy pills between June and July, allegedly supplied by her boyfriend Shane Waters, 30, of Armadale -- the alleged principal in a $1 million drug ring involving nine defendants.
Magistrate Steven Raleigh granted bail after Ms Osborne admitted involvement and had agreed to give evidence against her eight co-defendants.
Mr Raleigh ordered Ms Osborne to live at home with her father and stepmother in Kyneton, and she is due to reappear in court for a further hearing in March next year. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |
