Above all I plug for Checkers to be in finals as do I Sier
These two as medium/tall big strong and completely aggressive at the contest
are players I bemoaned the fact in years gone we needed especially against the Hawks
Now I moan no more because their an answer to my prayer _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Imo our bottom 5 players in order are:
Oxley
Murphy
Madgen
Mayne
Aish
We should get back Howe, Appleby, and then later in the finals (week 2 or 3) Treloar and maybe Goldy.
I don't think the club would risk finals playing the injury prone Moore or Reid. |

A lot riding on the vfl game, who plays, who plays well or even just gets through. Assuming all do and are available, what I'd like to see is,
IN: Howe, Treloar, Goldsack, Appleby
OUT: Madgen, Oxley, Murphy, Mayne/Greenwood _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Sorry but Langdon is the worst player on the list. |

Bit harsh...I thought Aish was very good in the last qtr against Fremantle - kept trying whilst it looked like some of the others had lost their run. _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |

Mayne and Aish are both hard nuts, the type of players needed in finals. I noticed it was Aish that intercepted the ball that Thomas picked up and sealed yesterday's game.
We don't want too many changes going into the finals. Certainly Howe must come in, for Murphy. If Treloar is fit, then he must play and I would drop Oxley for him.
Moore is an interesting one, because his upside is big but the downside is playing a rotation short if he doesn't play out the game. I remember his dad not really being fit for the 1981 GF and we suffered.
As much as I value Goldsack as a clubman, I really don't believe there is any practical benefit in playing him. Hasn't played a game all year and may not have been in the best 22 anyway.
Not sure who I would drop for Appleby, so I would probably leave him out.
In: Howe, Treloar, Moore
Out: Murphy, Oxley, Magden _________________ Magpies forever.

^ Yes, Mayne and Aish stay - would not even contemplate dropping them _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing |
