Posted the same thing at the same time! And I double posted. Definitely a technical stuff up here at Nicks! lol
The AFL says the goal review officer didn't have access to the Mayne vision. However, the vision *was* available to the goal review officer. He has exactly the same access to the footage that is broadcast by 7 and FOX. Footage that was repeatedly shown over and over by FOX during the review.
For whatever reason, it was not communicated to him that vision was available, or he chose not to look at it and chose not to conduct a proper review per his job. We've had numerous goal reviews since its inception that took several minutes to complete, because the review people were ensuring all video and angles were available. There is simply no excuse for this, and the goal review officer wilfully ignored the available footage, or it was not communicated to him that "hey, you're looking at the wrong video!" He should not have a job on Monday. And for the AFL to claim "he had no choice" but to make that decision is complete b.s. Does the AFL really think we're that stupid we'd believe anything?
We lost by a kick. Geelong are now 2 games clear on the ladder. With such a tight competition, this could have huge ramifications come finals time. Heads should roll. |

Typical AFL lying rubbish. All it told me is that there is someone being paid good money who doesn't do his job. Shouldn't now have a job. Disgusting once again by the AFL. |

It wouldn't surprise me if the person responsible for the footage not getting reviewed is one of those Collingwood-hating numpties the world is so full of, and did it just to spite us. How easy would it be?
Score Review Officer: Is that all the footage?
Technician: Yep, that's it. (hehehehe)

I get how the error occurred. They reviewed the goal line angle and saw it clearly was touched by Sidey over the line.
If they didn't realise it was touched off the boot, what can they do?
Why wasn't Pendles remonstrating and demanding a review? _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Sidebottom was claiming that Mayne touched it off the boot. If he could see it from 40 metres away, the technology is obviously defective. it really was pathetic that we were all watching the ball be touched a few second later but no official review occurred. |

Clearly the solution to this problem is to declare the result null and void and award both teams four points. It’s only fair.Come on A.F.L you know you must do this! ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

The afl, polo gilly and his merry band of tossers can go f*** themselves. Their excuse for not reviewing the goal properly is a disgrace and demonstrates all that is wrong with this corrupt organisation that demands integrity, fairness and respect from everyone else but blatantly pisses in all our faces, doing as it pleases along the way. The goal review system was put in place to avoid incidents like that from being paid. Imagine if this were a final. Those pig f***ers have cameras all over the stadium so you can't tell me they didn't have access. Bull$hit you dirty lying hypocrites. Come on Eddie where's your big mouth now. If there's ever been a time to step up and rustle a few feathers then it's now. |

They were remonstrating, the umpire clearly knew. The umpire had a mic and could communicate with the score review officer. So either, the umpire did not communicate it, or the score review officer did not listen.
Basically, someone lied to the AFL to cover their own ass for a monumental f***-up. And the AFL would never admit that, blaming a "technical" fault. That's Metro trains level bullsh*t, blaming "signal faults" when the issue is something else. |

The clear failure here is that the field umpire did not do the square sign to signify a review, despite every player within a 50m vicinity shouting that it was touched, including Fremantle players like Hogan.
If he had called for the review, then the other angle that showed the touched ball would have been looked at.
Then again, why are we surprised. The football was lying stationary over the boundary line in the last, clearly out, and yet no call, and the Fremantle player simply picked it up and ran forward. No replay again from CH.7 |

It happened in the 3rd quarter. We still could have won the game but didn't, that goal wasn't the difference. Move on. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
