Has to be an accident, surely, because who would deliberately sneak very expensive ingredients into cheap junk food you're selling?
You'd drive yourself bankrupt doing that.
Update:
Perth cafe owner to fight charges over marijuana-laced brownie claims
https://www.watoday.com.au/national/western-australia/perth-cafe-owner-to-fight-charges-over-marijuana-laced-brownie-claims-20190719-p528t7.html
"A resultant investigation into the matter by WA Police has led to no charges being laid, however the City of Stirling has commenced legal proceedings under the Food Act.
The City of Stirling claimed one of the brownies tested contained traces of THC and other cannabinoids."

Medical cannabis a potential treatment for cannabis addiction, study finds
https://www.theage.com.au/healthcare/medical-cannabis-a-potential-treatment-for-cannabis-addiction-study-finds-20190715-p527fa.html
"The research, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, found that an oral cannabis spray called nabiximols combined with cognitive behavioural therapy helped reduce the number of days people with a cannabis addiction smoked the illicit drug by about 40 per cent.
...
Professor Farrell and Professor Lintzeris both pointed out the cost of nabiximols - licenced in Australia for the treatment of multiple sclerosis at the cost of about $745 for six to eight weeks of treatment, according to MS Australia - was one drawback of the potential treatment." |

Hope you're right!
Wastewater analysis shows highest capital city heroin use in Victoria
Based on the wastewater findings for August 2018, Victoria also reported the second highest heroin and oxycodone average regional consumption nationwide.
Using data from the program, more than 9.6 tonnes of methylamphetamine is estimated to be consumed in Australia each year, as well as more than 4 tonnes of cocaine, 1.1 tonnes of MDMA, and more than 700 kilograms of heroin. At street prices, the estimated value of this quantity of drugs for the four drugs is in the region $9.3 billion, underlining the size of the black economy that relates to drugs alone.

Isn't it great to know all that **** is in our water?
Of course there are many processes natural and unnatural before that water gets back in our taps, but they don't filter out traces of pharmaceuticals. |

That's in waste water K.... doesn't get anywhere near our taps.
Potable water quality across Australia is amongst the best in the world. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Well, Skids, I'm not about to panic about the possibility, but there are articles out there like this:
'Alarming' drug levels found in Melbourne streams
November 7, 2018
https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/platypus-anxiety-alarming-drug-levels-found-in-melbourne-streams-20181105-p50e1c.html
"The study raises questions about whether those contaminants could be reaching Melbourne’s drinking supply. Two of the contaminated streams form part of the Sugarloaf Reservoir catchment, a major drinking water source for Melbourne.
The study, by a global team of experts and published on Wednesday in the journal Nature Communications, found traces of 69 different drugs in insects living in six streams around Melbourne – including, to the team's surprise, a stream in the Dandenong Ranges National Park.
The analysis was only capable of testing for 98 different drugs, so it’s possible the true number is even higher.
...
It’s not certain how human drugs end up in waterways, but the team suspects they enter the sewage system through human urine and then are not fully filtered out.
...
Dr Richmond said that although the study did not test drinking water catchments, the findings certainly raised questions about whether the contamination made its way to drinking water. Sassafras and Lyrebird Creeks form a tiny part of the city's drinking water catchment." |

Interesting....
Summary
Currently, analysis of the available data indicates that there is a substantial margin of safety between the very low concentrations of pharmaceuticals that would be consumed in drinking-water and the minimum therapeutic doses, which suggests a very low risk to human health. Based on this finding, the development of formal health-based guideline values for pharmaceuticals in the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Guidelines for drinking-water quality is currently not considered to be necessary.
Concerns over pharmaceuticals in drinking-water should not divert water suppliers and regulators from other priorities for drinking-water and health, most notably microbial risks, such as bacterial, viral and protozoan pathogens, and other chemical risks, such as naturally occurring arsenic and excessive levels of fluoride.
Noting that pharmaceuticals in drinking-water are an emerging issue, WHO will continue to review relevant scientific evidence and, where necessary, update the guidance provided in this information sheet.

I think one worry for every water contaminant, not just pharmaceuticals but the contaminants we normally think of, like lead and arsenic (and deliberate additives like chlorine and fluoride), is the cumulative effect.
It may be fine if you just drink one cup of water, but if you ingest one litre of tap water every day for 50 years it could be a lot different. And that may be extremely difficult or impossible to study. |

NFL:
"As they did during labor talks in 2011, the owners are pushing to extend the regular season from 16 to 18 games, and to expand the playoff calendar. The players are once again pushing back. They made concessions eight years ago so they could get more time off in the off-season and fewer practices with pads during the season.
The owners hope they can dangle enough money in front of the players to get them to change their minds. The players, on the other hand, are pushing for the league to lift its ban on the use of marijuana for pain relief."

I just realized, I haven't had a smoke for almost 2 months.
Not sure why, I've got a nice bud there, just haven't bothered. Back to work tomorrow, so that'll be another 2 weeks before I might light up a spliff. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

hahaha K.
We just went out for dinner, me 'n the missus, b4 I fly back to work tomorrow. Got a very nice bonus from Ms Rinehart in my pay today.
I mentioned the smoke thing, said I think I might give it a miss for a while.
She smokes almost never and said, lets have a night at Rendezvous Scrabs when you come back and have a spliff on the beach.
Sounds like a plan to me _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |
