Oh, no question he needs a hug. But also to not have access to lethal weaponry. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

^I don't think that guy needs access to lethal weaponry.

Did anyone seethe piece on Joaquin Phoenix on Facebook about his older brother river, and the night he died? No doubt he’s an amazing actor, and it explains some of the darkness, really worth a look, _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

Nope! Loved this exchange, though:

Time and distance is interesting.
I watched The Dark Knight up bush last weekend and looking at it through the lens of today couldn't get all the acclaim for Heath ledger's Joker. At the time it was WOW, now not so much. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I do wonder how much of that was related to Ledger’s death – everyone was talking about it being one of the all-time great performances. Honestly, neither the film nor his performance really did all that much for me, which is why I haven’t been rushing out to see this new one. It feels like I’ve heard all the same hype before. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Denzel Washington's Oscar win for Training Day looks silly. It must be easy to play a one-dimensional screaming character. |

Look, it was probably groundbreaking at the time. It was certainly a massively different take on a well known character, and done really well.
Maybe there's just been so much stuff since then that it no longer has that special something
I'll watch the new Joker when I can, but I expect the same in 10 years.
Not a lot of movies these days date well. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
