That's the first time I've watched that for a long time. Laughable how 'aints fans think they had it in the bag if it went longer and how they would have won in overtime etc.. We kicked the last goal of the game and that was more than 3 mins before the final siren. If they were so dominant, surely they would have kicked a goal in 3 mins of play. Anything could have happened after a break and reset in overtime. Momentum could have gone either way. |

What get's me is the "If Milne kicks it, Saints win" attitude. What if the Dawes kick goes through at 2:18? Or the Sidebottom snap at 2:05? Can we say it's over then? What if we kicked straight earlier in the game?
We had 4 of the last 5 shots at goal. A rushed behind, a goal and two that didnt make the distance. Then Hayes ball bounced through for a point the other way. What kills us is the 6 goals to 2 in the second half.
And what if Milne kicks it? Theres still 90 seconds to go. Anything could have happened.
It's all what if in the Saints favour. People predicting the outcome even tho there's no way to say so. And what happens when you say something about '77 or any of the close losses we've had in a GF? "Get over it". _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

^ Funny how the "what if" attitude doesn't extend to all the Grand Finals we've lost over the years. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Yeah, you never, ever hear Pies fans saying What If the umpire called out of bounds on Harmes or what if Rioli got called for the block on Maynard or Rocca's goal in 2002 _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

It's like when you still cop it for 02 and 03 but when you mention 2010, you're told "that was ten years ago".
Anyway, it's all a part of the fun. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Indeed. Every club has their misfortunes and victories that they like to bring up, and most oppo supporters like to rub in the losses and downplay the wins. We just have more GF losses than anyone else, so...
Last year a friend had a go at me/Collingwood about our 1929 premiership, so the statute of limitations for wins is clearly much, much longer than for losses _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

"And he marks, with a broken thumb. He will feel no pain tonight... This will probably be the last kick.. He need not even kick it. THE DROUGHT IS OVER!" (I've watched this so many times, I know it word for word!) _________________ There is just one team we favour... |
