Quote: | The starting 18 looks good, but if you look at the bench you have four small forwards. One who can pinch hit in the center and one that has been reinvented as a half back.
We would probably need a taller defender in there just in case one of their talls starts to get their hands on it. Perhaps Madgen or Scharenburg should be on the bench. |
Don't disagree there, I think Shaz is a possibility hence I had him in the emergencies. Thinking WHE amd even Mayne could play that role if required. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

LH. That well thought assumption of team position,s and the players jockeying
is an extremely good spot to be in
Loss of form ,an injury or suspension and your spot filled then the age old saying. “I’ve got it —you’ve got to get it”

It's the perfect scenario. Look if we're to improve on 2019 output, changes to the mix need to occur. Durability is a given however we are lacking in disposal skills and natural footy smarts i.e. ball transition and creativity. Those skills are improved with the likes of Noble, Bianco, Daicos & the Browns. (Varcoe could be included however with his body, his game day impact has diminished - statistically the 2016 & 2019 season a good comparison on a similar amount of games) Maybe Rantall can develop on this front.
Our KPP stocks in Cox and potentially Cameron ideally will allow time for Will Kelly to develop. It'd be a luxury if we've plucked a quality forward out in Cameron. Time will tell. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

It's Josh Daicos. Nick is his highly talented (by all accounts) younger bro.
And anyone who doubts Josh being an inclusion better go back and watch round 1. He was one of our best. Looked dangerous with the ball. Such a sublime kick. Wonder where that comes from? _________________ I'm not the pheasant plucker I'm the pheasant plucker's son, and I'll be plucking pheasants til the pheasant plucker comes! Cameron impressed somewhat in the pre season game vs Richmond. Could do worse. I mean, Cox is a hot or miss prospect, especially in slippery wintry evening conditions. Second Rick option vs Richmond not an absolute necessity, so Cameron will hold his own there. Good luck to him. _________________ Est. 2002 |

It looks like Cameron in will be the only change. Stevo, Varcoe, Wills, Shaz etc all left the track early today while Daicos, both Browns and Madgen remained.
Dropping Tyler Brown would have been harsh but I reckon I would rather Jaidyn at the minute _________________ Painful frustrating disappointing exhilarating and unbelievably awesome. - That's a Collingwood life through and through |

Stepho to & Cox playing tomorrow in the scratch match.
Looks like the only changes from Round 1 will be Cameron for Cox. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)
